The middle-class couple, Odie and Ruby gave birth to Regina Hall on December 12, 1970. Hall grew up in Washington, D.C., her birthplace. She attended Immaculata College High School.
Writing is Hall’s passion, and she wanted to become an excellent writer someday. Hall used her love in writing comedy. Writing comedy is her way of coping with being emotionally sensitive.
Hall even suffered depression at one time. To deal with it, she went to church and use meditation. At one point, Hall wanted to become a nun. Eventually, she changed her mind. Instead, Hall pursued a writing career.
After high school, Hall enrolled in Fordham University (NYC), where she got her degree in English in 1992. Hall attended New York University for a master’s degree in Journalism. At this time, her father died of a heart attack. Hall finished her master’s in 1997 despite having experienced a difficult transition because of her father’s death.
Hall used acting to cope up with the emotional blow of her father’s death. She joined a soap opera in 1992. Her role was so small, and it wasn’t noticeable. She concentrated in her journalism career and put an acting career on hold several years.
In 1997, Hall auditioned in a commercial while doing her master’s. She got a small role. However, despite the insignificant part, filmmakers noticed her potential. Hall got an offer for a small part in The Best Man, a comedy film.
During this time, Hollywood was casting more African-American stars in support of the anti-racism movement. So, in 1997, Hall received an offer to appear in one episode of New York Undercover.
Hall’s most significant break was the Scary Movie in 2000. It was a spoof comedy. By that time, Hall was 30 years old, but her role required her to play a high school student Brenda Meeks.
After the Scary Movie, the sexy black beauty got better offers. She appeared in Ally McBeal as Coretta Lipp. Initially, Hall played her role only for a few episodes in the show. However, Hall’s growing fans forced the producers to make her a regular name in the fifth season.
Hall appeared in Paid In Full (2002). The following year, she got a leading role in Malibu’s Most Wanted. Hall also had several lead roles in King’s Ransom and The Honeymooners. After her successful portrayal as Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie, Hall made some appearances in the subsequent installments of the series.
Again, Hall starred in another comedy spoof and played Mrs. Xavier in Superhero Movie. Aside from comedies, she also starred in dramatic films such as Law Abiding Citizen. Hall also appeared in Law & Order. Her latest movies were Think Like a Man with two sequels (The Best Man Holiday, and Think Like a Man Too).
Hall’s personal love life is private. Some say she’s bisexual. Still, this African-American actress possesses one hot bikini body with perfectly shaped ass and boobs.
