As a professional soccer player, Megan Rapinoe isn’t only hot on the field, but she’s also a sexy woman that everyone loves and considers a great role model. She became the first-ever openly gay woman to grace the annual bikini issue of the famous Sports Illustrated magazine in 2019. That feature highlighted the athlete’s toned ass and boobs, aside from her flourishing pro football career.
Born in 1985, the pro soccer player grew up in Redding along with her parents and six siblings. Megan Rapinoe has a mixed Irish and Italian ancestry. Her love for the sport started when she always watches her brother play soccer. The game was also a means to get away from the rampant drug abuse in their area. It was something that her brother got mixed.
During her early school years, Megan Rapinoe’s father coached various teams, which she also joined. During high school, the athlete competed in different sports, such as track and basketball. In her junior and senior years, Megan Rapinoe got named as a Parade and NSCAA All-American.
In 1999, the pro athlete played under the ODP team in northern California. Three years later, she also competed with the regional ODP team. After that, Megan Rapinoe was a youth soccer player for the Elk Grove Pride club team for three years.
After a successful career in high school, the athlete chose to go to the University of Portland, where she made another history in the school’s soccer community. There, she ranked 10th in the university’s history after accumulating 28 assists, 30 goals, and an 88-point career.
During her senior year at the university, Megan Rapinoe entered the pro soccer draft. In 2009, she got chosen during the second pick by the Chicago Red Stars, where she spent two seasons before the team ceased operations.
In 2010, Megan Rapinoe joined Philadelphia Independence, where she played in four games before getting traded. She later became part of magicJack and helped the team reach the championship. They got beaten by the Philadelphia Independence, which then led the team to get terminated.
Along with other players, Megan Rapinoe became a free agent in 2012. Around that time, the pro soccer player joined other clubs worldwide. She was a guest player in the Australia W-League team in Sydney for two games. The athlete also joined the Seattle Sounders Women, then signed a 6-month contract with the Olympique Lyonnais early in 2013.
Playing with the Lyons led Megan Rapinoe to make history as the fifth American woman to grace the UEFA Champions League in 2013.
The following year, the pro soccer player joined the Seattle Reign FC, and shortly became the leading scorer, despite only signing with the team during the last half of the season. In 12 out of the 22 regular-season games, Megan Rapinoe already bagged five goals.
Megan Rapinoe is also part of the US women’s senior soccer team, making her debut in 2006. Although she missed the World Cup and Olympics the following years due to ACL injuries, she held the team to win during the 2011 FIFA and 2012 Olympics.
