The Disney graduate star, Jennette McCurdy, shows us in the photos that she is no longer a child, and she is ready to face the world with her talent. Jennette still has a lot to prove in terms of what she can do; however, she’s shown people that she is more than the hot body and the girl with the bikini in pictures. Revealing boobs and ass in photos is something that Jennette has to break, as many of the Disney graduates resort to explicit photos once in their show business journey.
Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy, or commonly known as Jennette McCurdy, was born in California on June 26, 1992. She started her acting career early when she appeared in MADtv at the age of eight. McCurdy had numerous television appearances like CSI, Will & Grace, and even The Penguins of Madagascar. She got a nomination for the Young Artist Award for her performance in the tv series, Strong Medicine.
Jennette’s first break was in 2007 when she landed the role of Sam Puckett in Nickelodeon’s tv show, iCarly. Another nomination for Jennette’s performance in iCarly and her role as Dory Sorenson in The Last Day of Summer gave her better hopes. However, the universe had another plan for Jennette.
As Jennette rose to stardom, she ventured into the music industry. She worked on her debut album, which included her single “So Close” that was inspired by her late friend Cody Waters, who died of brain cancer. Part of the proceeds from the single got donated to the Cody Waters Foundation.
In 2009, McCurdy signed a contract with Capitol Records Nashville, and fans voted on what her first single should be. The song with the most votes was “Not That Far Away” and got released on May 24, 2010. She also released an EP of her songs, which included her voted first single. Her other songs were “Stronger”, and “Break Your Heart”, among her other songs.
McCurdy had another tv series in 2013 wherein she co-starred with Ariana Grande. The series titled was Sam & Cat and was aired in Nickelodeon. It premiered on June 8, 2013; however, the show was short-lived as McCurdy had several issues with Nickelodeon, accusing the network that she had a lesser salary than Grande. She was also a no-show at the 2014 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards along with her good friend Miranda Cosgrove. Then, in July 2014, the network officially stated that the show, Sam & Cat, was canceled.
After the canceled show, Jennette and Ariana finally reconciled. Recent news from McCurdy says that she is now into directing short films. In 2018, she started her short film entitled Kenny. Then, three other short films followed, including The McCurdy’s.
