Former child actress Emily Alyn Lind is one of the hottest rising Hollywood celebrities of her age. Now 18, Lind is yet to be one of the sexy actresses with her upcoming TV series Gossip Girl.
Emily Alyn Lind was born in Chicago in 2002. Lind is the daughter of assistant director John Lind and One Three Hill star Barbara Alyn Woods. She has two sisters, Natalie and Alyvia, who are also actresses.
The aspiring actress got her first onscreen appearance when she was only six years old. She landed on her film debut as the young Lily Owens in the 2008 film The Secret Life of Bees. Following her appearance, she starred in other films such as Enter the Void, Blood Done Sign My Name, and Won’t Back Down.
In 2011, she appeared in the biographical drama film J.Edgar, directed by Clint Eastwood. Lind played the role of Shirley Temple. She worked alongside big Hollywood actors, Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Watts, and Armie Hammer.
From 2013 to 2019, the majority of Lind’s early film career involves starring in horror-thriller films, including The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, Mockingbird, Lights Out, and Doctor Sleep.
Apart from her film roles, Lind got her TV debut for a single episode in the American daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives. Since then, Emily worked in various TV series, though mostly in minor roles. She appeared in Criminal Minds, Sunday at Tiffany’s, and November Christmas, to name a few.
At a young age, she received various acting awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress – Junior Division at the National Youth Arts Awards and Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress Ten and Under.
Although Lind’s last TV appearance was in 2016 in the comedy-drama series Rush Hour, she is currently working with a new project. HBO Max included Lind as one of the lead characters of the upcoming TV series reboot of Gossip Girl for 2021.
Aside from acting, Lind is also working her way towards a music career. She is a vocalist and a gifted songwriter. She also collaborates with music producers for a mini-album, which is yet to release.
In 2019, the young actress released her first single “Castles.” She also released a music video for the song “Spotless Mind” on her Youtube channel last May 2020.
Just like any other young female celebrity, Lind has an active Instagram account, where she often posts her updates. Most of her posts vary from her recently read novels, photoshoots, song covers, and selfies.
