The sexy Chloe Bennet is famous for her portrayal of Daisy Johnson in the ongoing series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Aside from that, she also voices the same character in another animated series, Marvel Rising.
Chicago, Illinois, is Chloe’s hometown, where she grew up together with her seven brothers and parents. In 2010, she decided to move to Los Angeles to try out new things, which includes acting. Her T.V. debut happened in 2011 when she hosted Nightlife; a dance-oriented series premiered in TeenNick.
In that same year, she also scored an appearance to a South Korean boyband, B.I.G.B.A.N.G.’s music video for their track “Tonight.”
Due to difficulties in finding gigs and projects, Chloe renamed herself from Chloe Wang to Chloe Bennet. According to her, she made the change to make landing opportunities a lot easier while still respecting her father by using her first name as her new last name.
She later got the chance to play as Hailey, a supporting role for A.B.C.’S Nashville. The show lasted for over a year, starting from 2012 and ending in 2013.
The same year of Nashville’s premiere, Chloe appeared as Skye for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. A revelation in the show’s second season showed that her true identity is Daisy Johnson.
A revival and a remake of Valley Girl, a 1983 musical film, allowed Chloe to play as Karen. However, the musical faced postponement because of Logan Paul, a cast member who has controversies in the same year it was supposed to premiere.
In April of 2017, Chloe received the “Visionary Award” from the East-West Players, which is a professional theater in the United States.
Aside from acting, Chloe also expressed interest in making music when she moved to Beijing, China, in 2007. She started a singing career after moving under her original name, Chloe Wang. While doing this, she also studied Mandarin while staying with her grandmother.
Her music career didn’t go that far, with only two singles released in 2011, “Uh Oh,” and “Every Day in Between.”
Her latest project is DreamWorks’ Abominable, a 3D animated film in 2019. Here, she played one of the lead roles as Yi. Its the first time that she landed a leading role in her acting career, too.
