Former American Idol contestant Lauren Ashley Daigle recently hosted a virtual concert for the medical front-liners and patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Daigle’s exclusive performance broadcasted to 19 pediatric hospitals where she performed six of her hottest hit songs that include Still Rolling Stones and the record-breaking single You Say.
Daigle started her music career early 2010 when she first auditioned for American Idol, then again in 2012 only to be cut off on the program before reaching the final 24 contestants. Struggling to make a name for herself, Lauren made her debut on North Point InsideOut’s album, then proceeded to sing as back-up vocals for other artists.
In 2013, Daigle released her own Christmas song under the album, Christmas: Joy To The World. Her song has caused her to gain popularity, and a fanbase that spurred her to record and release an EP titled How Can It Be the following year.
Before signing with Centricity Music, Lauren attended a workshop hosted by the record label itself. By 2015, she had released her first full-length album with the same title as her 2014 EP How Can It Be. The album received multiple awards and tracks from the record topped in charts for weeks. In the same year, Daigle won her first award for her single How Can It Be and took home the Best New Artist award at the GMA Dove Awards.
Daigle’s following single and album were well-received by fans, and her work was critically acclaimed. Her success eventually resulted in her first album reaching Platinum, certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This event was just the start of her success as she garnered more awards and fans all over the world.
Daigle’s single You Say penetrated the mainstream music and charted on multiple radios and streaming platforms, even dethroning Girls Like You by Maroon 5. In her music video, Daigle flaunts her sexy figure as she dances and sings around what seems to be a lake house. With the young singer’s music video gaining more than 150 million views proves you do not have to splurge or show off your boobs or ass for your music to be recognized.
With her continuous success in the music industry and earning a name as a Christian music singer, Daigle quickly refused to be labeled as such, stating she is simply an artist. Daigle was in a controversial issue in 2018 when she performed on a talk show. The artist quickly clarified her stand on the issue thrown at her, even gaining support from Christian comedian, John Crist.
In addition to her Platinum first album, Daigle had her fair share of nominations in various music award titles. Among those nominations, she has won two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and seven GMA Dove Awards. Earlier this year, she sang the national anthem for the College Football Playoff National Championship.
