Laura Ruth Harrier is a sexy American actress that started to gain popularity when she debuted as Liz in the sequel of Marvel’s Spiderman film series. Aside from that, she’s also known by some as Destiny Evans in the 2013 series One Life to Live.
In Chicago, Illinois, Harrier spent most of her childhood, and here, she also decided to start an academic life. In 2004, the American actress enrolled in Evanston Township High School. After finishing her high school program for four years, Harrier decided to move to New York City to continue her academic pursuit.
She enrolled in New York University Gallatin School to study more about art. However, Harrier realized that modeling might be her calling, so she decided to postpone her enrollment. After some time, the American actress grew tired of modeling and have realized that it wasn’t really for her. Harrier then entered the William Esper Studio to hone her acting skills.
Her earliest most recognizable role can be traced in 2013 when she played the role of Destiny Evans in One Life to Live. In 2014, she scored more parts in different projects, although all of them are only minor ones. It includes Unforgettable, The Last Five Years, and Galyntine. The latter, however, was canceled due to low viewership and reviews.
Harrier gained a small appearance in the 2015 film 4th Man Out, as well as the TV series that is supposed to air in HBO, Codes of Conduct.
In 2017, Harrier would get the opportunity of her life when she was selected to become the love interest of Peter Parker in the first film of Marvel’s Spider film series reboot, Spider-Man: Homecoming. The next year, she appeared in BlacKkKlansman.
Harrier was also able to secure a spot in the cast of Balance, Not Symmetry, that premiered in 2019. The project, however, is deemed as a failure due to poor ratings from different critics. Her latest project is in the 2020 Netflix series, Hollywood. Here, she played the role of Camille Washington and co-starred with Ryan Murphy.
In 2020, Harrier is returning with the project titled Bios, where she will have the opportunity to co-star with Tom Hanks. The American actress returned to Netflix when The Starling started airing.
Before she entered acting professionally, Harrier was able to have a short-term modeling career where she was able to work with different brands for their campaigns. Harrier also appeared in several publications, including Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and Cosmopolitan.
Laura Harrier is still young, and she’ll be able to pull off more prominent acting roles soon. Her fan base is steadily increasing because of her talents and natural beauty.
