Jane Krakowski is an actress/singer born on October 11, 1968, in New Jersey. She is the daughter of a chemical engineer and a college theatre instructor. Intriguing! Her father is of Polish descent while her mother is half Polish. Jane Krakowski may have little knowledge of uttering any Polish word, but her grandparents are very fluent at it. Jane Krakowski grew up exposed to a lot of theatre activities; a lot of it because instead of hiring a babysitter, her parents brought her along while doing their thespian duties.
As a child, Jane Krakowski took up some ballet lessons, but she soon realized that her body is not for ballet. Instead, she transitioned to Broadway dancing. Jane Krakowski went to Rutgers University, located in New Brunswick, Canada.
She was first involved in the TV industry when she got chosen to play as Theresa Rebecca for a TV soap opera called Search For Tomorrow (1951-1986). After this, she performed as Elaine Vassal in the series Ally McBeal (1997-2002), where she got nominated for the best-supporting actress by Golden Globes award, back in 1999.
Krakowski was then cast as Jacqueline White, a native American who hated being one and instead chose to became “white” in the Netflix comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. In this series, she got nominated again for the fifth time for an award.
Jane Krakowski’s portfolio may be full of TV series involvements, but she made several movies too! Her film involvements include the National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983), Fatal Attraction (1987), The Flinstone in Viva Rock Vegas (2000), Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant (2010), Dance With Me (1998), Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008), etc. Back in 2006, she voiced Gissele, a deer in an animated film Open Season (2006).
