The sexy English actress Gemma Chan started an acting career in 2006. Since then, her Asian ancestry helped her to land roles in films and TV shows, most notably the recent Crazy Rich Asians and in the series Humans.
Chan grew up in Kent, South East of England. After graduating from her high school, she enrolled in Worcester College, Oxford, to get a degree in law. After finishing her college program, Chan applied for a law firm and got hired.
She left the job opportunity and instead enrolled in Drama Centre London to chase her dream of having an acting career. Chan finally debuted in 2011, where she starred in three different TV series, which are Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Freshmeat, and Bedlam.
Chan continued starring in Bedlam until 2012, as well as on the series True Love, which premiered on BBC. Aside from TV shows and series, the English actress also participated in the film industry. She made her debut in an indie project tilted When Evil Calls. Chan started frequently appearing in films beginning in the war film Shanghai that premiered in 2010. That year as well, she appeared in the movie Exam.
