Australian actress Emilie de Ravin was born in the suburb of Victoria Australia on December 7, 1981. Before becoming an actress, Emilie loved to dance ballet and even trained at Christa Cameron School of Ballet in Melbourne. Because of her exceptional talent, Emilie got a spot at the Australian Ballet School and performed several big productions. Because of her tight ballet schedule, Emilie got homeschooled.
Emilie’s first acting gig was her recurring role in the TV series, BeastMaster, in 1999. She appeared in eight episodes from 1999 to 2000. After her first TV appearance, Emilie’s TV appearances became too often. She starred in the TV series, Roswell, after her BeastMaster role ended in 2000. Then in 2002, she appeared in the TV film Carrie as Chris Hargensen. Emilie then guest-starred in an episode of NCIS in 2003. And from 2003 to 2004, she made appearances in the TV series, The Handler.
Emilie’s first movie featured was in 2005, where she played the character Emily in the film, Brick. Also, in the same year, she appeared in the film, Santa’s Slay. While doing her ‘Lost’ project, Emilie starred in the slasher-horror movie, The Hills Have Eyes, in 2006.
The American drama series, Lost, was Emilie’s first big break on television. She first appeared in 2004 as a leading role in seasons one to four. She then reprised her role in 2010 for season six. She portrayed the character, Claire Littleton, who was pregnant at the time of the plane crash. Claire was one of the survivors of the crash, and eventually, she bore her on the island.
Emilie’s post-Lost project was her most significant film break to date. She starred alongside Robert Pattinson in the movie Remember Me.
The movie even became a hot topic for being one of the most tearjerker films ever.
After the success of Remember Me, Emilie switched back to making TV shows. Luckily, she landed the leading role of Belle in the TV series, Once Upon a Time. Emilie first started as a recurring role in the series. But because of her performance, she became the leading role in season two to six. Once Upon a Time featured Emilie’s character from 2012 to 2018.
The Submarine Kid was Emilie’s last movie appearance before she ventured back to TV gigs. The movie premiered in 2015, and Emilie played the character, Alice.
Although the critics were not fans of Emilie, she still finds her success in acting one of her most significant accomplishments. She believes that she does not need to reveal her boobs and ass to get some attention from these people.
