So I broke up with this girl in public over coffee and I was being a very nice about it and she decided to slash my tires, cut my radiator hose, bust up my car, and then have her friend try and give me herpes.

the worst one to me was last year right before christmas. i was with this girl for about 8 months 3 months officially dating and a five or so before. we were doing great and had never even had an argument let alone a fight. she had had a boyfriend in basic training who she broke up with but still remained friends with and trying to avoid making the same mistake he made with her by attempting to restrict who she was friends with i decided against asking her to not talk to him (also because she kept telling me he was calling her drunk in the middle of the night and she kept seeming like it was pissing her off) soon enough the semester was ending but when she went home a lil before me from school and for some reason everything changed. i had no idea why but suddenly for no reason that was apparent to me she wanted to break up. this all happened over the course of a week. so i asked her to at least give us a little time to see if it was just a rough patch and she agreed. over the course of the next couple of weeks things seemed to get better but again right after we got back she decided to call it quits and this time i let it happen. turns out the same day we broke up her ex had come back from basic training. they were back together within a week... it took me a little while to finally get the truth out of her (she hid that she was back with him from me for a solid two weeks until she told my bestfriend that they were back together thinking he wouldn't tell me since they were also friends) but the basically what i found out is that for the past 8 months we were together she was simply using me while she waited for him to get back. i should have realized it a lot sooner but i made the mistake and to be frank i'm actually glad it happened. she isn't in my life now and i have an amazing girlfriend of five months now who i love very much. to tell the truth i needed it because it gave me the reality check i needed in order to meet an amazing, smart and beautiful girl who i wouldn't trade for the world. don't get me wrong that break up was rough and it sucked at the time but it was what needed to happen and now that it's over i couldn't be happier :)

I was with my boyfriend for a year and 6 months. I was hoplessly devoted to him as him to me. It was gooooood, we were moving in together to a new place because we could finally afford it after I found my boyfriend a really good job. Anyway....It was a friday night and I had just gotten off the phone with him while he was on his break at work. The plan was for us to go visit my mom and sister the next day. Not a problem. 15 minutes after getting off the phone with me he texted me and told me that he though we should "take a break". Horrifically confused, I called him back and told him that we could talk when he gets home from work and he should of called me instead of texting it. When he non-chalantly brushed it off and told me he was gonna go to his friends house after work, and then we could talk when he got home from there, I was heart broken. The total flip of personality and him acting way wayyy far beyond his nature had my stomach in the only knot. I convinced him calmy to really take into consideration what was going on and he at least owed it to me to do this right. so he ended up comming home after work so we could talk. In all reality tho I don't belive in "breaks". So I sat him down and calmly tried to understand what was going on and when he was totally resistant to even talk about anything I explained to him that this was not a break, this was a break-up. I asked him if that was okay with him and he was totally for it. Heartbroken. After all the resisitance and sneakyness I told my self right from that moment that I needed to prepare for some negative news cause shit was just not right. After we spoke he was out the door to his friends house and I just went to bed. Around 2am I woke up and was still in bed by myself wich I figured was probally for the better but when I started to walk upstairs I noticed my hall light and kitchen lights were on, so I continued to walk and saw him on the deck so I jus walked out to the deck and when I opened the door this odor came upon me that made my eyes cross. My boyfriend was sitting on my deck cooking up crack!! (I didn't know anything about it untill much research after this incident) so when I "snuck up on him" (as he would say) and asked him what he was doing, he snapped back and said " what the fuck do you think i'm doing" baha, I just chuckled and from that moment on was 100% for the break-up too. I just went back to bed and the next day while he was at work, I packed allllll his shit up, n dropped off his boxes to his mothers house. Now everything was fine and dandy untill everyone started to show from the woodwork n blow up his spot. Ha, amungst the little fucked up things, I found out he started smoking crack with this woman from work. And that was really the demise. It was a bad break up because he fell into the drug so bad that he started harassing me for things he felt were his so he could hawk them for money. Idk I mean its easy for me to talk shit but I never fell into it so only a select few knew what was really going on with everything. We had aquired a lot of really great mutual friends and I think everyone was trying to do me a favor by being like...oh i spoke to him the other day, he's totally lost it mentally, he's lost his job, he's stealing from everyone. all this negative stuff didn't make me feel any better tho because everything happened so fast I was still like wtf. And i still sit here sometimes like, really? all this to have a substance to control you're everyday? nah I'm good. like litterally threw it all away. Ugh I feel bad for him. Not in a way where omg i still love him come back to me i can help, cause fuck that. But more so in a way of, you're so much smarter then that (i thought) buuut anyway It's just an obvious thing that I'm better off but yeah something tragic would have to happen for this to be knocked out of first place for worst break up lol.

I was at a sub shop and was about to order a sandwich. I had been dating this girl for about a month, nothing special, but I was gonna go buy her flowers after my lunch. I told the lady at the counter what type of sub I wanted and then I got a text. She wanted to break up. I was so shocked that when the lady making my sub asked me what type of cheese I wanted, I just stood there in silence. Break-up by text is NOT ok. NOT AT ALL. However, I have been now dating a girl that I love so much for ten months and I could not be happier.

I'm sorry to hear that Miss sessyann :( My worst break up was when i bought my girlfriend a $500 ring for her birthday it was a promise ring that I had custom made the next day she broke up with me by txt. Aw well things happen just take life as it is step by step and you'll realize that the worlds not so bad good luck with your love life!

actually all my ex-girlfriends did this to me.
Only difference where I got the message from and who told me.

Always at the point when it started to make the most fun and I felt like "yeah thats the girl I always wanted and this will last a long time before she will break up with me" she suddenly "dissapeared" she didnt answer her phone, text messages or e-mails. She seemed to be never home. Then a couple of weeks when I met one of her friends she/he told me something like "hey you know derpina? I met her last night with her boyfriend" or "too bad that didn't work out with you two" me: "what?" she/he: "oh I thought you knew she has a boyfriend"

so this was the worst for me believing that I am in a relationship while they already had another boyfriend and never told me anything. My first girlfriend already had a new boyfriend while we were still meeting.
And they never told me why the only reason all of them said was "you are too nice and deserve something better" and one of them told me after I told her like 100 times that this is bullshit "you are clinging"

2 days ago my girlfriend broke up with me via text, not sure why

My girlfriend broke up with me because I wasn't giving her enough attention and she said it felt like she was competing for it with my friends. She broke up with me right after a dinner party at the restaurant as everyone was leaving and then she cried. As I walked away I smiled because I thought she deserved someone better anyways and I felt like my heart was ripped out. I still feel very guilty about the break up even though its been about 3 years and whenever I think about it, I feel as if I'm drowning with air and it feels like we only broke up seconds ago.

I once had a girlfriend leave me because her father was going to kill me. Literally.

well, i had been seeing this girl for about, i dont know, 1 year 9 months and its pretty serious and then all of a sudden i get this text claiming that im cheating on her with one of my closest friends (who, fairly enough, is a girl) but i have never cheated and i never will. Anyhow, shes going off on one at me and keeps saying that m cheating and then she ends it, by text. Then she makes all these statuses saying "anyone else think the last year and 9 months have been a bit lie" and "cheating bastards, never trusrt them". so i ask her abouth them and she keeps saying that she still loves me and she as just going through a difficult time and she as really stressed out so when she broke up with me it as just the stress talking (her exact words). but im now in a relationship with the most amazing and breathtaking girls i have ever met. And we lived happily ever after. :D
