What film have you seen recently?

Any films or recommendations people would suggest?

Last night i saw Donnie Darko, a film i think is relatively unheard of, but is quite good. It was made in 2001 so it's in no way a new film, but it's still a great one!

Takes some time to get your head around, and you might need to watch it two or three times to understand it, but it's worth it!

And if anyone's seen the butterfly effect, Donnie Darko is similar, in a way.
The Butterfly effect is one of my all time top films though, and if you haven't seen it, i would highly recommend it! But not the sequels, they're rubbish.

both were good movies but it's been a while since i've watched either of them... i dont think i've watched a movie in probably close to 4 months... BUT i am looking forward to "how to train your dragon 2" for download or if by that time i have a gf possibly a movie theater(so probably download)

haha, be optimistic, you never know ;)

but no films for 4 months?! :O
i think i'd die if that happened to me...why haven't you seen any movies?

multiple reasons, i get sidetracked, i forget which folder they're in, watching movies by myself makes me feel sad, there's no effort involved so i dont feel any connection to the movie, im LAZY, etc.

"I see you like Mindfuck movies" Not especially, Donnie Darko wouldn't be in my top 10 films list, it's just something that i saw the other day and was intrigued by because i was hopelessly confused.

If anything i'd say my favourite types of film are comody/action, though to be honest, I like all types of film - except gruesome/horror - though i did get addicted to the Saw traps and spent 3 hours straight watching them all on youtube
Pretty much, I will just like any type of movie, from titanic to four lions, from now you see me to the last king of Scotland, from Le Choral (a film about a choir in a school in war time France) to Movie 43..but to be fair, Movie 43 is amazing!!
    (not for the faint hearted)

On the trailers you posted though, the only one i've seen of them is fight club, but it probably doesn't get into my top 10 films :P The others all looked good though, except i'm slightly skeptical about the machinist, not too sure why :P

Donnie Darko is a great movie.

Wasn't a big fan of the Butterflu Effect though. Too much Ashton Kutcher! haha.

To be honest I've been in a bit of a movie rutt recently, I haven't found anything I've immensely enjoyed for a long time, suggestion would be nice!

Huh, interesting that you prefer Donnie to the butterfly effect and i'm the reverse

But as for a film suggestion, hmmm
Any of the trailers posted in any of the comments take your fancy?

If not, i would recommend one of three:
    1. the shawshank redemption - everyone's seen this movie, but if you haven't, then crawl out from under your rock and wake up

    2. the internship - a fairly well known film about 2 guys who go for an internship at google and are way out of their depth

    3. sunshine on Leith - a relatively unheard of feel-good film based in Scotland about 2 ex-soldiers

Cheers buddy, Shawshank is a great movie. I haven't seen the other two, I'll definitely check them out
