    Looks like a young diamond back rattlesnake of some sort, either way he must have nerves of steel to remain calm enough to sit still and take pictures of it.

    it's more likely a kingsnake or corn snake(i vote kingsnake) note the rounded head in picture #3

    I wouldn't say king snake because I've never seen a king with that color pattern, and I couldn't tell if the head was rounded or more triangular because of the angle of the head. Corn snake seems more likely since the head looks rounded and at a closer look has the corn snake pattern on the head. My first guess was eastern diamond back because of the pattern along the back but I wasn't totally sure since it seemed off.

    we have kingsnakes around here(SW missouri) that have that coloring and the pattern seems close. corn/king is something i still have trouble deciding between because they're similar so i stuck them both up there.
    here's an idea, hey darius, let it bite you. tell me if it hurts :)

    See and I have a hell of a time identifying snakes, probably a good thing that the only thing I have to look out for is if its tail makes noise or not.
