why is everyone freaking out about the oil spill in the gulf of mexico when we can just get energy FROM the gulf of mexico?
there is already hydro and wave energy we could use in the gulf to power our homes much more easily, and ik we cant use it for our cars but it could help charge the batteries for hybrids.... im basically saying maybe its a sign that we really need to change.

Attenuators are long multisegment floating structures oriented parallel to the direction of the waves. The differing heights of waves along the length of the device causes flexing where the segments connect, and this flexing is connected to hydraulic pumps or other converters.

I don't see many facts on their site. I imagine if it's so great they'd just get at it. But I doubt it. IF someone finds alternative energy better than oil, think for a second. That person or company would be able to "sell" that energy cheaper than oil and in turn put "oil" out of business. But as we've seen with solar, the sun isn't always shining, and with wind, the air isn't always blowing, and it's expensive and requires large space to just store energy into batteries for later use. Maybe these are a viable alternative, what about the people not on the coast. Most of the country isn't on the coast. We just going to run that energy all over the country.
and as for the whole cost and supply thing i think its actually kinda hard to find real facts about that. i simply got that information from http://thevenusproject.com/ and some other site..... im really not an expert on all this i just wanted to mention it and see wat you guys think
