I think the reason it may seem pieced together at parts is because they probably took out parts of the movie, because I've heard that he took out some characters because they were taking over the movie to much =p

Wizards first rule may have been the most well put together book I've ever read. It's so good but i just don't have the time to read the series.

I agree with Jay that if this group of people weren't from a church they wouldn't have any reason to do this. And a funeral is supposed to be respected, not mocked.
