Hated school just like you mate, thats why I left at 16 and went straight to work :) My boss wanted me to go to college part time, I managed a year (at the age of 20) and it drove me crazy so I left. I'm one of these people that learns from a 'hand on' approach, not reading theoretical bullshit from text books. It might be a struggle later on without the paper-work to support your experience when trying to find a job, but if you have confidence you'll be just fine :)
