It's about freaking time. Why are so many people against the rule of law? Before I moved to the U.S. from Canada I had to go through a series of background checks, physical exams, and paperwork. And pay a lot of money. Once here I couldn't collect any welfare, food stamps, or free medical services. What makes Mexicans or any other Nationality think they're so special that the rules don't apply to them? If it was up to me, I'd go Israeli on their asses and build a wall.

If his job is to polarize the country into two vehemently diametrically opposed groups, kiss every world leader's ass, promote Islam while opposing Christianity, totally ignore the Founding Father's idea of the role of government, and turn the U.S. into a nation of whiners who expect to be able to suck at the tax payer's teat all the while promoting the idea of "everyone paying their fair share" instead of carrying their own weight, then yah, he's doing a great job.

As for the Democrats growing some balls, I think it's more a case of Pelosi sharing hers.

This message is to the girl in the video. You're right, fighting in public is wrong, however, defending yourself is ALWAYS the right thing to do, publicly or privately. There are lies, damn lies, and statistics. If this truly is a comparison of the TOP (my emphasis) tax rates then that affects very few Americans as most of us don't pay anywhere near that. My wife's and my combined salaries for the 2009 tax year was well into the six figures and our tax rate? 16%! A pittance for the opportunity to live in the country that holds liberty dearest and no, I'm not some brainwashed U.S. citizen, I'm Canadian and I'm glad to be here. Now, getting back to Obama, taxes aside, he is a very unpopular President now not so much for his Socialist bent but for two very important impressions he leaves on the citizens of the United States:

1) He truly doesn't get what it means to be an American. His life experience and his long time association with ACORN and crooked Chicago politics has left him unable to grasp the down home ideals of the vast majority of Americans. We are foreign to him.

2) President Obama truly leaves the impression that he doesn't much like America. Americans love America and they love Americans who love America. That is another concept that is foreign to President Obama. The world may still adore him, although I hear news reports from France and Germany that the bloom is off the rose, but here in the U.S. he will end up a one term wonder as the back-room Democrats do all in their power to ensure he doesn't lead them in the next election.
In the mean time, try to respect each other's opinions whether you agree with it or not. As a conservative I may not agree with what a person espouses, but I'll fight to the death for that person's right to say it.
