I get the same thing too. Only problem is that where I live everyone only likes country and gangsta rap. So it was kinda tough finding a band to play in. But once I found the right scene, I was getting offers left and right (cuz you know, bassists are pretty rare where I live).

Haha, it's sort of the opposite with me. I got my parents into Primus xD My brother-in-law showed me their '94 Woodstock concert and I didn't really like it at first, but once I started playing bass I thought they were the coolest thing ever.

And for that you have my respect. But remember, this is just a joke. I lived in Kentucky when I was a little kid and I moved to Nashville recently and in all that time I only knew about 4 people who like Nascar. I think I probably knew of more people in Florida that enjoy it than either of those places.
