i have been thinking about jesus lately, and i was thinking that he might be an alien.
think about it.
he got lifted into the sky by a light coming doiwn from the sky, he said he would return, he preformed miracles.
so that got me thinking, what about his apperance. i know humans werent as smart as we are now, but someone that looks different is surely going to stand out. so that means he might of had a cloaking device that made him look like a human.
walking on water. that was difficult to figure out. on his feet, he could of had an advanced hydrophobic (repels water) technology on his feet.
turning water into wine was easy to figure out. he had nanobots that changed the molecular structure by getting the other elements from the air.
resurrection. this was difficult but i think i have it. when he was crucified, his body went into hibernation, slowing the heart rate and breathing to near zero. when he has put in the cave, his body absorbed water from the atmosphere and took him 3 days to come out of hibernation
so, i can conclude, jesus is an alien

it's possible i guess but i would think that if they were going to "return" they would have by now. honestly i think its a ridiculous idea but at the same time the idea of an all powerful god is also insane sounding to some. personally i think you need more evidence cause this isn't very mind blowing news to me. faith in religion doesn't need as much evidence because the entire thing is based on well faith. the burden of proof is on those denying that religion is real.

If I claimed that you murdered someone, would the burden of proof be on me to prove it, or you to disprove it? Same thing with religion. Just because someone makes a crazy claim doesn't mean people have to prove them wrong. The burden of proof is on religion.
the burden off proof would lie upon you to prove i did it. religion has been around for a long time and it is possible that some stuff had happened back then that we could not explain now because we weren't there. honestly its pretty much impossible to prove it one way or another but according to the bible and basically any other religion it must be accepted as true in order to gain the eternal bliss. it isn't about proof on the religions side but about faith and belief. we need no proof just the hope that what we are doing is right. and if we are wrong then oh well it didn't matter anyway. but if you're wrong well i guess you're just screwed. way i figure it why not have a lil faith and hope? it's not gonna hurt anyone (aside from religious extremists who are quite frankly just murders who hide behind religion, and religious war which are the same thing basically.)

Exactly, the burden of proof would lie on me to prove you are a murderer, since I'm the one making the claim. Just like with religion, the ones claiming there is a god are the ones who have to prove it, or accept that it has no base in reality.
And I don't have pointless faith and hope in something that has no evidence for the same reason I don't listen to country music: I'm not a nutter.

well maybe i'm am a nutter then :) honestly i feel that it won't do any harm so why the hell not at least i can hope and personally i don't see a problem with that
i never did i just state my reason for having some faith. if i had to really think about it it would kind of be like why kids believe in santa or dragons. they don't need a real reason to believe in it just imagination and hope. i guess this is the adult form of that in some ways lol
a lot but like i said at least faith in this may lead to something better :) honestly i know how ridiculous it sounds and being a man who tends to lean more towards science i know how unlikely it is but why not keep some faith? it's just who i am
