Banning members

Is there a way to ban someone just from a reply they make?

If someone makes a post, there's a "hammer him" option by their name to ban them, but there's nothing on their profile to do the same, i don't think?

This guy: http://www.sharenator.com/profile/ttaiaa20/ just made 49 responses all saying this, but i couldn't delete him:

Unless i'm missing something, there needs to be a ban option on their profile, or he & others could keep posting endless replies like this

We will defintely have more flexible system for mods in an upcoming update.... sadly no ETA but we are hard working on it. In fact, there were more spam and advertisement before I have made a small update.... logged out members now see a bit different content then regular users.

    Ah nice one!

Not pressuring you into anything of course, but it's good to hear that developments are on the way :D

At least there are not many left of old members but for ones that remain we did not forget about YOU. Hopefully new members will join over time and we can make Sharenator a nice place.

Yeah not a mod but it looks like the comments were deleted so I guess it's a nonissue now.

Yea i deleted all the comments, but people are doing similar things quite a lot, so a ban in future would be a lot easier

i've noticed lots of those kinds of posts too, promoting companies and selling stuff... mods need a better option

Agreed, also perhaps a lot of the old mods have left or are less active, hence the seemingly increase in ads. Maybe some members who are still active should be modded.

I've noticed that they have surge periods between like 12AM - 4AM (MST)

I just copy their name and paste it into the ban hammer on the mod page!

    I have this:

Just can't remember if it's also available for mods or admins only. Sadly, we don't have an option to display if user is already banned or no. :-)

No I don't see that, copy and paste is just as effective.

Sorry I do see that on the actual post but on the members home page I don't see it.
