Sorry for the low quality of the pictures but my scanner is at my parents house.
Anyway here's some of my sketches.
By the way if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to comment and whoever gives me the best idea for my next drawing I'll try and draw it for you and I'll post it up on here.

With a little more work, those would look really good :)
I'll ask for your opinion on my work now! I took this picture using film, and I developed it myself, it's a black and white picture, but to put it on here, I've had to use my camera and make it black and white again in photoshop, because the lighting in my room made it purple.. Dammit. I want to use it in my assignment of 'Environmental Portraiture'... What do you think?

Ok not gonna lie the first thing that went through my mind when I saw you posted that picture was this.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD SHE FUCKING DREW THAT!?!?!?!?!?! Then I felt stupid because I read your comment and realized its really an amazing picture not a drawing lol. Personally I think its awesome! Can I ask where you took it because it looks like an old part of some city in england or paris or somewhere cool like that.
    - 24paperwings February 18, 2011, 1:00 pm
Yes... I drew it... *shifty eyes*
Umm, it's in a place called Lancaster in the North West of England, it's a pretty old city yeah, has a castle and everything! :) and thanks, I just can't decide if I want to use it yet...
    - SuDoku February 18, 2011, 1:04 pm
I think you should use it. It looks really cool!

how long have you been drawing? they seem a little rough...but if you like drawing keep it up and your art skills will improve! i wish i would have continued my passion with drawing that i had when i was younger.

I've only been really drawing for about a year or so now. But I took the advice of some friends and I'm taking my first real art class right now. Thing is that it's all abstract drawings so it's not as fun as it could be but hey it should help a bit.

i like it, i think rough drawings are better than the polished ones. it means(to me) that you put more thought into the drawing than your current ability and imagination and thought is always what pulls you to greater heights and better results. if you can draw something perfect and polished, it was too easy.

I like the way you explained away my rough drawings lol. Truth is I'm not good enough to make them perfect and and I don't have the patience to sit there and take my time on them most of these are made over the course of two or three hours and then I'm done with them. If i could put more detail in i would but I don't know how to as of yet hopefully I'll get better.

good luck, i cant draw worth a s*** so my respect of artists is a bit higher than street performers :)
    - MIKYTEY February 17, 2011, 8:08 pm
Lol I never really can tell if people are just saying I'm good because they don't want to hurt my feelings or something. I feel like these comments are going to be much more honest on here. Though I do wish that I could do some of the stuff street performers do.
    - 24paperwings February 17, 2011, 8:17 pm
you mean like lurk on cold windy nights watching the more fortunate people walk around fantasizing about how warm it would be if you could cut them open and sleep inside their chest cavity? i know right? i wish i could do some of that stuff...
    - MIKYTEY February 17, 2011, 8:22 pm
Are you sure your not thinking of homeless bums? I was talking more of the kids that are bored and are really good at the drums and go do stuff and preform or those people in the dance clubs.
    - 24paperwings February 17, 2011, 8:36 pm
oh... those arent street performers. street performers are those homeless guys with an instrument or that breathe fire or whatever. its like a carnival in the city!

Very nice! I would say try to improve your contrast- don't be afraid to include the blackest black and brightest white in appropriate areas, with every shade in between. It will add depth to your drawings.

You have a good eye for shadows and shape. :) My only advice is to add a little more detail when it come to trees or buildings, otherwise it looks a little cartoonish. And when you have a waterfall, if you're not going for cartoon, don't put a fluffy cloud at the end. ^w^ really good though.

Thank you very much :) I'll try and put more detail in and make it less cartoonish but I still need to learn ho to do that stuff. though my buddy wants to use one of my drawings for his album cover lol.
    - 24paperwings February 18, 2011, 12:11 pm
    That's beast! :o
But yeah, it looks really good(: Catoonish isn't BAD, but if you're going to add shading to it, a little less cartoon is always okay.

    - 24paperwings July 12, 2011, 11:11 am
haha i would have to go with 7 then for your second i just love it :D
    - dabbler July 12, 2011, 11:14 am
haha actually that one's incomplete i never got around to finishing it. should probably get around to it but i just never really had the urge to so i kinda just threw it up on here. if i ever get back to it then i'll make sure to post it for you.
    - 24paperwings July 12, 2011, 11:21 am
should of said no one would of known looks good anyway. personally i dont really think it needs any more it might ruin it, because sometimes i think oh just a little bit more then i fuck it up :D but i think it looks good the way it is
    - dabbler July 12, 2011, 11:26 am
lol i would have said it but i like the truth the fact that it's incomplete and that you like it just shows me that it has a lot more potential. chances are i'll just copy it onto another page and redo it that way with some adjustments. i don't like to ruin an already good thing :)
    - 24paperwings July 12, 2011, 11:29 am
yeah you should do that, taht way you wont ruin the one you got and no problem the truth is always the best but sometimes a little white lie wont hert :D
    - dabbler July 12, 2011, 11:35 am
lol i know but now you may get a better looking one hell it might be the best one if i do it right :D
    - 24paperwings July 12, 2011, 11:38 am
:D yeah should go for it then if it has been like 4 months since you last drew it :)
    - dabbler July 12, 2011, 11:43 am
lol thats just when i posted it if i remember correctly it was made a bit over 8 months ago. i might actually be able to get some details into it
    - 24paperwings July 12, 2011, 11:45 am
for some reason i cant reply i think but 8 months ago you must have gain a lot of skill in that time and probably would look better
