Animals That Kill People
Every year these giant cats kill ~15 people in India.
Surprise-surprise! Horses! Yep-yep! Only in the US (to say nothing of the rest of the world) 20 yankees die every year after falling off a horsie!
Cows. How can they kill a human? Easy, hitting him by their heads or horns. Every year 20 people die in the US after being attacked by beef. Nice revenge for their hamburgers!
Ants. One ant is harmless. But the attack of a whole colony can be dangerous for a human. ~30 people actually experience it every year.
Bees. Last year 53 people died after their stings.
Lions. Kings of the jungle take a blood tribute of 70 human lives yearly.
Jellyfish. Seems like these swimming snivels aren’t scarier than sharks, but they kill 15 times more people than sharks!
Tiger. Lion is probably the king of the jungle. But it’s tiger who’s the cruelest and the most successful human killer among felids. His number is 100 people per annum!
Deer. Yep-yep. Every year 120 people die because of cute bambies that jump into the road provoking car accidents.
Domestic dogs. They’re just said to be man’s best friends, cause they happen to kill 186 of their friends every year.
African Buffalo. When this bull’s feeling danger, it attacks. About 200 meetings of this bull and a human become lethal every year.
Elephant. It’s so easy for this animal to kill a human, considering its height and weight. Elephants trample to death about 500 people yearly.
Every year around 100 shark attacks are reported worldwide. The average number of fatalities worldwide per year is 4.3.
Crocodile. If to be honest, I thought it will be on the first place of our top-19, but these toothy reptiles kill just from 1500 to 2500 people every year.
Hippo. Suddenly it’s thought to be the most dangerous African animal. About 3000 members of Homo sapiens don’t survive meeting it.
Scorpions. There’s about 1500 species of scorpions in the world, but only 25 own lethal venom. But it’s pretty enough for killing 5000 people yearly.
Snakes. I guess no one`s surprised. Everybody knows about their dangerous venom, although it doesn`t save 50 thousand people per annum from their bites.
Tsetse fly. It’s not dangerous itself, but it transmits an extremely dangerous disease - African trypanosomiasis that kills about 500000 people every year.
Mosquito. This tiny creature transmits malaria and kills about 1 million people every year.
Aaand the recordholders are we ourselves! No one kills as much people as other people. Let`s live in peace, dear friends!
