When the 15 years are here im sending my pokemon out in style.. sending them out on a boat filled with gas and fireworks and shoot the boat with a flaming arrow.. R.I.P. pokemon

That just means all the saves will be deleted you could still play the game after the battery dies. However you could replace the batter like imfrikknbad posted but you will still lose all your badges and pokemon. Now the only real way to save them is to get another game trade them and then replace the battery on the old game and trade back and voila you got your pokemon back but iwthout all the progress you had before

That's why we have emulators

what if you bought a new gameboy/nintendo and put the game cartrige into the new one, do you get 15 more years? :P

is there anyway to get the 1st gen on the pc?
