So me and my friends wanted to try this out. We didn't have any books on us (apart from exercise books and revision books - which are crap for this). So, I hopped on my phone and looked at Winnie the Pooh, as the free book that comes with iBooks.
turn to page - You didn't see that one coming...

holy crap i just lawled for like five minutes straight

can't decide here cause i have a bunch of books on my computer i could use but the only real books i have are stephen king.... so heres the first from the computer
“No thanks necessary, Mister Fox, just doing my job. I'll be there within the hour.”

    and here's king

"now," he said, "i find myself involved in a mystery a good deal more extravagant than i would ever have dared write"

personally i think the king one sounds more interesting plus it was the first one i checked

The Necronomicon...this will be fun haha... The city of R'lyeh occupies a series of wide terraces on the slopes of a mountain, deep beneath a great ocean that lies far to the south off the coast of Cathay

Really? I did not know that. I have Necronomicon: The Wanderings of Alhazred which is from what I have heard the most true interpretation of what Lovecraft wrote about...which is the true Necronomicon I cannot say...sorry

Grimoire of the Necronomicon by Donald Tyson from what I hear is more of a spellbook and less of an account of the old ones...so if you have the two you should have the perfect necronomicon
