          not really he's more implying that the church has lost it's way and that god preaches acceptance not rejection. i actually have to say i agree with that the church has more than lost its way

              no i think that over time the church was corrupted and lost the true things just like how over time everything becomes corrupted. it's a fact of life the true meaning was lost a long time ago and while the message survives the method of practice failed.

                  in general i just feel that it isn't what was meant to be and that while it preaches the word of god the system is more about politics than the religion now

                      I am for religion but i am not for corruption and the politics. the more i think about it and the more i turn it over in my head the less likely it seems but i've told you before and i'll say it again I only hope that it is real not just for myself but for all those who deserve it. not only that but it has done some good in the world. jesus would never have condoned the wars or attacks that were made in his name. i find it disgusting that people do such things. he was a preacher of peace not of war. Muhammad also was for peace though he did say one has the right to defend themself. man is the one that caused the war not the religion itself. politics and man, greed and envy, pride and wrath. those are the true causes of war they hide behind religion to justify it. the real problem is man and the human nature not the message of peace that these religions preach. all in all i guess if i had to say what i truly meant it is that i want peace and the message jesus preached best describes that peace i seek. heaven may be created here on earth but only if we all are willing to work towards it. i hope there's an after life but in all likelyhood it's not there. i know this but in either way if its there or not it will never cause me to change who i am. i want peace thats all nothing more nothing less. that's what i believe his message was and i think we can all agree thats what the goal should be.

                    Actually, the God of the bible ordered his people to go to war in his name all the time. He was not a nice dude.

                    1 Samuel 15:3: "This is what the Lord Almighty says ... 'Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.' "

    I don't get it. Religion is just an idea/belief, what have you. It is not corrupt. Religion is details of belief as taught or discussed. . A church or group that follows a religion are the only things about a religion that can be corrupted. Yet he states he loves the "church", the same "church" that has corrupted the religion. Doesn't seem to have a real strong point there. I'm not atheist but I also believe that no established church has got it all right nor or any of them all wrong. Religion should be something that unifies all people, seeing as every religion basically states to love your neighbor as yourself. Yet all religion has done has separate the human race even further. It's pretty pathetic when you think about it... Trying to support a faith based on love by hating others. Oh well those are just some ramblings. Hope you kids have fun entertaining yourselves.
