Reading this on my smartphone because I have nothing better to do :)
I know right what a guess considering you don't always talk about apple :P
Mainly my MacBook though. I don't always talk about it as such (I'm not a hipster fag), I'm more defensive. People don't understand about Apple products. Yes, they are overpriced but until people refuse to pay for them they are going to remain overpriced. But it still is worth it in the long run. Apple support is great, and you hardly have to maintain the products (there is still some stuff to do though such as clear out clutter).
I have no real problems with apple myself. I just prefer PC in my experience. I like the look and love upgrading and replacing parts. I feel like a hacker :P

In a weird way its what I liked about windows. I was fixing my friends laptop a few months ago, and it reminded me of how much time I spent fixing my old computer.
I would spend countless hours in command prompt, device manager and so on.
Then again, I have replaced the hard disk in my MacBook, and I spend a lot of time in terminal on that too :) The mac terminal is almost the same as a linux terminal because they are both unix based systems. That makes things easier because similar commands and binaries are included, like the 'nano' text editor, and the 'sudo' command to run anything as admin.
I agree, Apple don't let you customise. But there is reason. When people change themes for example, it ruins the continuity of the system. (I mean WindowBlinds and the such). It looks cool at first but then you realise the original windows theme is better. Another example is "Parallels Desktop", a virtual machine program. When using mac and running Windows in the virtual machine, there is an option called 'Use MacLook'. This changes the theme to make it look like a Mac, for the continuity of the system. Rather than looking exact, it changes the windows theme to the style of mac and replaces the icons. Here is a screenshot of Windows XP running MacLook

haha smartphones really do help by answering questions
I mean sure I always can go to google and wikipedia when I am on the pc but when I am in bed trying to sleep and then suddenly I have questions in my head like "damn I wonder what would be if I had some lsd" then I just look it up on the phone
or when I am taking the bus home at night after a party there are so many questions
and in the past I always forgot those questions or when I was laying in the bed I just thought well I look it up tomorrow and then it was gone
