Where are our Future Heroes?
I just wanted to see how many of us on Sharenator are in the armed forces or are planning to join. I'd like to know your branch and rank. If you reply, I will do a gift post for you.

Future United States Navy Damage Controlman here.
why did he get a minus 2 for saying that?
Seriously, He didn't say anything wrong, anyways thanks Wrapped for representing our armed forces. ^_^
I wish you luck with that. First of all you should be 100% dedicated to the Marines, be very stubborn and unwilling to quit no matter what and be a good shot pretty much
Hey Joe... its OORAH! You heard me say this like every day when we went to high school... And you live in a Marine town! :P
good luck man, I hear it's a lot of hard work, but everyone says it is worth it. I'm rooting for ya.

yep its called "signing away your life"
that's what everyone tells me, trust me, I'm going to do my homework on this one.
I'm not in the military, but I guess I'll speak for my brother. My brother is in the USAF. He's a mechanic and in Special Ops. Hes a Staff Sergeant and is one of the youngest to be promoted to Staff Sergeant.
you should be proud, it is harder to advance in the air force in those positions, he must be very dedicated
Yeah, Im very proud of my brother. I think my Dad forced him into it, but it stuck with it, and hes proud to serve the country. He also travels around the world and does really cool shit. He is very dedicated, and taking college courses as well. Hes taking major advantage of his opportunities.
good for him, we need people like that, they might offer him a large bonus if he re-enlists if he keeps that up
sure it does man, still has the responsibility to serve, just in a different way, not all military jobs are combat related
nice man, you have a great future if you are advancing already, and it's alright if you are unsure about going into combat, I was very unsure until I had a talk with a close friend about it, I'm still a little nervous. But the men on the front lines really rely on those who are else where, even if you aren't leading an attack, you can still do a lot of good for your men. Good luck man.
I was active duty in the Army for five years. E-5 (SGT) Air Defense Artillery. I've been all around the world, pretty much. (Iraq, Kuwait, Korea, Germany)
the AF has plenty of other options. you'd be amazed at what you can do. Logistics, Operations, Communications, the list goes on. Research, research, research. Don't rule out an entire field because one thing doesn't work out. Good Luck with anything you do though. :)
i am a hospital corpsmen stationed in yokosuka, japan...
why can't you, there are lots of jobs, all with different requirements.
oh, well, i think there are some reserve careers you can do, idk though
