Yes because every child is a disrespectful prick aren't they now that parents have stopped hitting them, tell me have you ever trained a dog? If you beat a dog it'll turn into a nasty fucker to anyone but you or it'lll be timid and on edge all the time usualy leading to the dog biting a child etc when touched. I belive the same principal applies to children.
I never said anything about beating your children.
I have trained a dog, and you can smack a dog with a newspaper to make it know when it has done something wrong. A combination of positive and negative reinforcement works much faster than only positive.

If you want any living creature to repsect you then violence is the last thing you want to use, and even hitting with a newspaper, spanking etc is violence. My father never once raised his hand to me or anyone in my family and yet i'd put my life on the line for him. All i'm saying is that spanking etc in my oppinion is the easy option out, it's quick and for a short period is effective but bruises heal and are forgotten, whereas good parenting etc i won't bore you with details lasts a lifetime.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. i have raised and trained about a dozen labs, retrievers and blood hounds over my life time. all of them have been used for hunting. if you beat the dog for no reason he will end up jaded. if you are fair, consistent and firm he will be as loyal as any. after a while you no longer need to spank the animal. they learn.
uhhhh i no ur pain when i was like 8 i had to go to my room and just sit there nothing to do... but bow my little 9 year old brother....gets to play psp when he get in trouble

Ohhman,my dad was strict and he still is today. If he said go to your room, he walked in my room, took my gameboy, and my pokemon cards. I had no laptop/comp. Worst, he would lose the damn gameboy almost every time and i didnt get it back for a week....
Nowadays, he unplugs the cable to the router so ilose all my internet, then he locks the door... if i plug it back in, he steals the router too O_O
