Fiberglass, because it's strong and invisible to radar, and the nosecone of most planes is where it's radar equipment is housed.
It would seem that the impact of the jet hitting the bird was enough to splinter the fiberglass into it's individual strains, which are very flexible.

Punk ass trick Air Force don't do shit! I'm out here in afghanistan and the USAF are the ONLY guys out here that are REQUIRED to have time off. The rest of us just work!
