that, and the fact that it looks like you have a mac, if its not a mac, I apologize for the insult.
    - Lambeau July 25, 2011, 11:38 am
    Windows emulator, bitch! Macs rule.
    - Ertrov July 25, 2011, 1:11 pm
I will choose to back down and not start a huge flame war over a numbed down PC. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.
    - Lambeau July 25, 2011, 5:31 pm
Our opinions are equal. Mine is just more equal than yours. :) But no hard feelings, I just like to see if I can get PC geeks angry. Glad to see you're a level-headed one.
    - Ertrov July 25, 2011, 6:03 pm
I tend to analyze people's opinions and reasoning behind their comments, (i.e. I've listened to many Middle Eastern people about why they hate America, and I can understand why they do.) Its a bit far from the discussion but, Macs are like the Middle East, Linux is like Russia and China, and Windows is like America. Windows users and Mac users are constantly fighting, while Linux users get the best education and make all the money.
    - Lambeau July 26, 2011, 5:50 pm
I own a MAC that has dual booted Windows. I think Windows is a nice software but as a college student who isn't using his operating system to program things I find a MAC better. They're more secure and I never have to deal with any issues. I may get a Windows after college though
    - bufus101 August 1, 2011, 9:28 am
Go Linux. Its closer to Mac OS, because Mac OS is Linux. In essence they loaded a new native programming language and made a dock to come preloaded on all their OSes. Basically Mac took a free thing, changed it like ANYONE can, and they are now selling it for an arm, a leg, and a firstborn. If you go Linux, you will also learn more about computers than if you were to use a Windows computer. If you have any questions about Linux, just ask, I'll forward you to a website that can help.
    - Lambeau August 1, 2011, 2:02 pm
i wanted to dual boot linux originally, but that was a lot more difficult so i defaulted to windows. plus my main reason for a windows dual boot was to play LoL. but i would love to have linux, though i would need to buy a new computer. maybe a cheap netbook without an os on it, and put linux in?
    - bufus101 August 1, 2011, 5:06 pm
You wouldn't be able to use the entire potential of linux on a netbook, just like you can't use all of Windows on a netbook. You don't need an i7, but you need better than a pentium, centrino, or atom. go with a core2duo for the linux install. I also recommend a linux distro where things aren't done for you.
    - Lambeau August 2, 2011, 3:27 am
Linux distro? And yeah. I don't think ill be getting a new comp soon. I have the money but not the time to mess with things and learn about Linux during college
    - bufus101 August 2, 2011, 6:17 am
Distribution. Anyone can make their own linux operating system. Its open source, and you can see the coding without any special licenses.
    - Lambeau August 2, 2011, 4:14 pm
well to start i thought id get ubuntu. i am going for electrical engineering though, not computer. so learning how linux works would be more of a hobby interest than actually helping me in life. well see about it

I spent $150 on this, and its a piece of shit. I still use it today because it cost me $150, and I'm too cheap to buy a new high quality one.
    26 102 063 s04 - what mouse do you use?

i got mine for £50 and its the best mouse i have ever had
i since gave it to my brother and am trying FPS a games the naga is good for fps but there is better
    i now have this

its amazing for gaming i can play for hours without any pain or soreness this is also about £50
    - BEASTY July 25, 2011, 11:09 am
That would be about $65. My mouse is the most comfortable mouse in the world, it fits my hand perfectly. Its the fact that it tracks across the screen when I'm not even using it, no matter how low the DPI is, there is also the fact that during games, it skips, and I end up missing my target.
    - Lambeau July 25, 2011, 11:25 am
I'm happy I chose my Logitech G700 over it then. IT came down to The R.A.T 7 or 9, the Razer Mamba, the Naga Epic, or the Logitech G700. G700 was only $80, much cheaper than the others, and offered good button placement and 13 of them. Didn't like the grid on the Nagas when I tried them. I got lost on them.
    - FireRoastedFire July 26, 2011, 8:44 am
It is a very well built mouse, I'm sure it would survive an angry gamer throwing it across the room ;), but I wish that they would have paid a bit closer attention to the sensor, I'm sure I can replace the sensor with a better one, but the $150 is still fresh in my head even though it was about 6 months ago.
    - Lambeau July 26, 2011, 8:59 am

I literally wouldn't know where to start with that alien tool
    - Jackylegs July 26, 2011, 11:35 am
Lol, its meant to fit your hand exactly, there are 2 or 3 different thumb and pinky rests, you can adjust the weight, the DPI, the angle of the thumb and pinky rests and the length of the palm rest, the only thing that they could have done better is the sensor.
    - Lambeau July 26, 2011, 1:01 pm
does it cook breakfast for u??? if it does i might spend $150 on it if not...
    - KatanaWarrior July 26, 2011, 4:24 pm
+1 for making me lawl. And the $150 is rather steep unless comfort is extremely important to you, I myself have been sitting around at a computer for about 10 hours a day for the past week and a half, trying to find a new job, and my hand hasn't hurt from holding the mouse at all.
    - Lambeau July 26, 2011, 5:44 pm
What's DPI? Also how is the weight adjustable?
    - Jackylegs July 26, 2011, 6:34 pm
It stands for dots per inch, the only thing you have to know is that its how sensitive the mouse is, a lower DPI is for sniping, a higher DPI is for faster paced game play. The weight is adjustable by unscrewing the hex screw in the back and either adding or taking away up to 6 weights.

    Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse

That's my baby. Logitech G-Series all day long.

Perfect contour, perfect weight, 13 programmable well placed buttons, and a high DPI (5600?) laser. Best mouse I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Rather, it owns me.

    nice

Currently using the same one. I had a choice of either this or the R.A.T. I'm glad I chose this one cause I tried a R.A.T. recently and it was fucking gross.
    - Disco November 15, 2012, 9:56 pm
My little G700 is still my favorite mouse eva! Although, I do need a new keyboard. I'm still using the crappy Dell keyboard.

    $90 Mouse, $1200 computer, $300 Microphone set-up, $60 game-pad, $120 Headset

Realizing you're still using a Shitty Dell $5 keyboard, Priceless

its not a button its a ball you roll with your thumb
    - mofosho July 26, 2011, 7:21 pm
I've used one before, I kept on trying to move the mouse instead of the track ball... used it for about 3 hours, I couldn't get used to it, how is the performance in games? I know they are great for CAD drawings.
    - Lambeau July 26, 2011, 7:49 pm
i wouldn't recommend it for fps but its great for general use.
i like not having to be on a flat readable surface to use my mouse. i occasionally switch to a more traditional mouse when i play TF2 or sumthin and im looking into getting a razer like beasty's for that

Does it come with fre whips? It's been proven via years of intensive 'research' that whips improve efficiency by approx. 300%.

p1040003 - what mouse do you use?

Why do you have a dictionary next to your laptop when you have... A laptop that is your laptop and you can probably google words quicker than you can find them in a dictionary.
    - TryThat July 25, 2011, 3:03 pm
it's there for the same reason there are three disposable cameras next to it when i took the picture with my £180 Lumix, it just lives there, stuff and junk just gathers on my desk

as a computer aficionado, I have to ask: Why do you own a Dell Insperon Laptop? And better yet, why has it not exploded?
    - FireRoastedFire July 25, 2011, 5:38 pm
first of all, i'm impressed at how you can tell what my laptop is from seeing about a quarter of the keyboard and secondly, i've had it for years and, recently, i have had to replace the pre-installed vista with 7 as it was taking about 10 minutes to start up fully and the CD drive wasn't even being registered by the computer. I do really need a new one but i go to uni in a year and i've decided to make do until then, when i can get a better one than what i can get now
    - JonnymusPrime July 26, 2011, 3:01 am
Again, I may not know everything, but I know what I know well. Also, for your future choosing of a laptop, got to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com for premades, go to CyberPowerPC for a customized one. Have fun slowly being poisoned by Dell until then. We have one that I upgraded downstairs (desktop dell) and OMG. I opened it up to find the weirdest component arrangement I have ever seen. I have to use my mad Tetris Skills just to install two more sticks of RAM. I was scared.
