What is everyone's favourite band?
My top five are:
#1 - Led Zeppelin
#2 - The Pixies
#3 - The Beatles*
#4 - Arctic Monkeys (some of you lucky basterds in Britain may have seen them D:<)
#5 - Oasis
Some others are Soundgarden, Prodigy, Killing Joke and Blur, and it would be interesting to know who other people like.
*From here I don't know what order they're in, they might not be in top five...
John Bonham, best drummer in the world (Led Zeppelin). :D

VNV Nation. Suicide Commando. Delerium. Covenant. Sex Death and Eyeliner. Electro Assassin. New Mind. KMFDM. Combichrist. Well pretty much any form of alternative Electronica/Industrial. Also love rock and alts. Foreign stuff. Really depends on what I'm in the mood for.
Havn't found any yet honestly.... I mean, being able to list New Mind means I'm fucked in the head already. Their music is entirely subliminal... If you know of something let me know.
I think categorising music at all is stupid - unless the band originally set out to create a particular type of music, such as really low distorted guitar and screaming, or death metal.
Bands like Led Zeppelin set out to creat not something to fit a category, but whatever came into their head that they thought was good. It was later categorised into heavy metal. The same goes for bands like Pink Floyd ("prog rock"), and many others.

No Maroon 5 is just plain GAY. ANd (I hate to be a grammar nazi) you can't even spell half the names of the bands right.
I don't mean to downrate or belittle you but it's like you said: people have their own opinions. And I just happen to not like them. To me i'd be chilling out to red hot chili peppers or owl city or creed or Chase Coy.

P. Jam's gay you can't hardly understand what the fuck he's saying.
and in the middle of that saying this happens and Clint Eastwood gets face raped:

oh my god. NO Linkin Park. They suck and they always will. If you're gonna put ICP you might as well put Twistid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, ABK, etc. (Dark Lotus).
I don't like those bands anymore. I'm just sayin' that most people that listen to ICP listen to those groups. If he doesn't like them then I don't care.
They could be sooo much better than they are. Still like them, the crazy emo kid inside me loves them. Just saying, they could do better.
yeah. Notice they've changed their emo look though. Kings and Queens is a good song off of their new album.

SWITHFOOT. ABSOLUTELY, SWITCHFOOT. Ever heard the songs "Meant to Live" or "Dare You to Move"? Those're Switchfoot's most well-known songs, and most of their other stuff is just as awesome. Indisputably the best band I've ever listened to, both for their sound and their lyrics.
