Some of the info on this graphic is wrong. An HD-TV file can hold a lot more then 7 minutes in one gigabyte. The average 1080p movie file has roughly 8-11Gb for a two hour movie. That's roughly 12 minutes per Gb. Not 7 which is almost double
Well, that's NOW. This graph seems to be made a few years ago (by the dates used within the graph). So, it may be possible that the 7 minutes comes from processing rather than storing.
by my powers of deduction, i can say the graph is most likely to have been made in 2010 or even 2009 so that is actually a long time in computing terms
i have like at least 10 TB in my house all of which is used by my family, with music pictures ect, every 18 months maximum, the size half's and the capacity doubles.
The sad thing is, i know some one who's job is to film folk music festivals, over one week end and 6 cameras he will fill up one TB Drive.
one penta bite should last him a year... maybe...
