And yet, when I was watching the World Cup USA vs. England, at the end of the game I saw them flash the camera from a bar in the US to a bar in England, and in both they were cheering.

Easier to be condescending about the World Cup, Mr. Ferguson, when you switch nationalities to a country that actually qualifies?

Oh yeah definitely, no hard feelings :D

in terms of tackling in rugby, the person being tackled cannot be off the ground when the tackle is started. The person tackling can leave the ground when tackling. He can also dump tackle the other person but he has to go down too. It's complicated but its obvious if someone is fouling another, ie. dropping him onto his head (which hurts...)

on average there is no question, rugby players have much better stamina. thats what the game calls for. but for pure power and size, it football all the way. as far as i know is blocking allowed in rugby? in 8th grade i played a defensive tackle for my middle school. i was blindsided(never saw the kid who hit me) and woke up in the hospital from a guy blocking for the runner.
have you ever heard of "no mans land" for wide receivers? ever watched a line backer come in full speed on a QB blind side? it is brutal.

Sure. Here is a new post. that being said the NFL player is not the biggest there is. The type of hits in the NFL are different. As far as i understand it in ruby when you tackle some one your feet are not supposed to leave the ground. is this correct?

nothing personal there man, i enjoy a good debate. i don't think either one of us is going to change our minds, but i do enjoy a good debate

then i hope you understand the point. Terrence Cody who just left the University of Alabama this year is listed at 6'5, 350 on a light day. this guy can dunk a basketball. tell me, when in rugby does a 6'5, 350lb man at full speed blindside a 6foot 220lb player? sorry guys, rugby players don't need pads due to the fact they are not the monsters football players are. lets face it, if these guys were any good, they would go where the money is.

here is a Youtube clip for those who would like to see the manchild we call mount cody
