The missing dollar paradox...
Three guys need to rent a room for the night. The hotel clerk tells them that the room cost $30. They decide to split the bill $10 per person. Later that evening, the clerk realized that the room only costed $25. He gave $5 to another employee and told them to deliver the money to the three men. The other employee, realizing that $5 cannot be split evenly decided that he would keep $2. He gave $1 back to each of the three guys so they all paid $9 for the room. 9 * 3 is 27 + the two that the employee pocketed is 29. 30 = 29... I think not. Where's the other dollar?

If you read the comment thread, it says that the dude messed up and corrected it AFTER my comment. Please check up before you accuse me of things.

Well apparently you're getting downrated and I'm getting uprated which leads me to believe that I'm correct in everyone else's eyes. But that doesn't matter to you does it? Could you please explain what you're trying to get at here? Because I still don't know.

Well:
#1 I can only downrate you once which means all your comments would be at a zero.
#2 I guess I don't understand simple concepts because I still don't understand what your point is and you won't attempt to reword it at all even though I've asked you to explain yourself.

I like how you're trying to insult me over the Internet.
I also like how you get angry for no reason.
You know if you read the comment thread you would see that he corrected his thought process after I posted my confusion as Barbazul said.
Yes, this is possible, if you look at the bottom of your comments you see an Edit function, go try it and see if it works and come back to this comment.
Now for some more proof that I'm right and you're wrong.
After I posted my confusion, paci edited his explanation and commented, "Thanks for the check. The correct thought process and answer is up now."
Now I'm not trying to say you're slow or anything, maybe you just didn't look at the comments but the fact that he said, "The CORRECT thought process and answer is up NOW." means that the correct thought process and answer wasn't up before.
I really hope that you understand all of this.

The room cost $25.00. They payed $27.00 for the room, because the other employee kept the extra $2.00. The other $3.00 missing is what the other employee gave them back. It's just clever wording by whoever came up with this. Good One. +3
i got the solution its all a lie because no hotel costs 30 dollars for on night >:)
It makes sense if you work it backwards but not if you work it forward.....I'll keep trying though.
E equals triforce i solved the riddle there you happy now

30-25=5 the change they should get.
25+2=27 how much they paid after dude stole their 2 bucks.
They got 3 bucks back, so that stays out of the equation.
27/3=9 how much each REALLY ended up paying for the room.
Therefore, it's 27+3 not 27+2.
It was a good thinking question though :)
