I haven't played Skyrim yet and this is already pissing me off.
--Dear "bufus101"--
Your gamer license has been revoked for the following statement in reference to Skyrim:
"its seeming to be awful"
Please wait the mandatory 3 months before reapplying for a new license.
While your license is revoked, you may only play E rated games while in the presence of a licensed gamer who is at least 21 years of age.
Thank you for your co-operation, and have a nice day.

Ok you are aware a lot of the design things you just mentioned with maybe the utilization of space was an aesthetic choice like the stars for the magic menu and im hearing all these people complaining about the nitty gritty things like the player animations are not as good as in other games or up close the textures dont look as good as other games. Stop for a moment for example a bioware game has awesome character animations and graphic but it has a set number of models and the way conversations are carried out are in extremely specific environments. The trade off you get for those stiff NPCs and lower close up textures is you literally get an entire country to explore which let me check, oh yea no other game does anywhere near the quality that the Elder Scroll games do. Also the fact you went straight to Morrowind kind of tell me right away you are a fanboy because i have a hard time believing that a last gen game is the greatest in the series as many people have tried to point out to me.
What I've mostly realized in this game is that you do spend a lot of time in the menus trying to organize your items and spells and such. Don't get me wrong, the game is awesome but there are a few things here or there that you notice to be bothersome
I can't wait till the damn Creation Kit comes out and we can start modding all this so it some what resembles a PC game instead of a PC game with a console UI ported on it. Other than that I find the game to be really good, and the modding community will make it great.
I wouldn't say morrowind was designed for the console, though I've never played in on a console, I felt it was fit for PC. I do agree there is a giant trend of several companies not just bethesda that are making PC games more "consolish" my guess is it's all about the cash. Why restrict and specialize a game to one medium when you can skimp on some features and have a wider audience/cash flow.
