The Best and Worst of Your Country
What I love the most about where I live (England) would have to be the food. It's not usually the most exciting but it's still pretty good.
There are two things that i hate the most about England, the first being the weather:
and the second being our strict firearm laws, though i still get to go shooting regularly through the Air Training Corps and i am looking to get a shotgun for my 18th:

Not going to get into it now, but main point is I'm considering Canada. Cleaner, free healthcare, and french fries with Gravy. Fair trade-off I'd say.

Well, I live in Florida. We have all of that, AND sunny weather, save for Hurricane season.
I hate Hurricane Season. Here's how it works:
July-August: Oh Lawd, Hurricane season! Stock up on Canned goods and water!!
August-September: It's almost here!!! Oh, it turned and hit Mexico. Lol.
September-October: Another Hurricane? This one will turn too, I'm sure. *Two days Later* OH MA GAWD! TREES BE FLYING! WHAT IS THIS WRATH UPON FLORIDA?!?!?
October-November: Are there any more? *Cowering in closet* I don't think so... *Week later* AW MA GWAD ANOTHER ONE! WHY?!?!?
November-December: Turkey Day and Christmas.

I lived in Tampa Florida for about 14 years and I completely agree with every word of this lol
Same thing i love about England... but what I HATE about England is:

being in the EU - we get told we have to follow all these regulations, and we do, when all other EU countries ignore them! EG. the smoking ban. The other countries were told but you can still smoke in public places in France and Belgium (at least). The EU also ban other crap, e.g. Yesterday (1st Sept 2011), the EU have now banned the manufacture of the old fashioned 60 watt light bulb. You are only allowed to make "energy efficient" ones now. These energy efficient ones are much worse for the environment in the long run though, because the shit thats inside that white powder. The old fashioned ones contain: Glass (recyclable), non-toxic metals, Tungsten and some Argon. The new ones have a huge array of toxic substances such as mercury and sulphur.

Yea the U.S. passed supposedly passed a law doing the same thing to stop sales in so many years i forget how many exactly but GE the company that edison founded already quit making the bulb he designed

i live in belgium, i hate the political situation here and i love the chocolate lol
Wait... You have that not everyone can have a gun, are you stupid? USA has some of the highest gun crime statistics in the world because of the laws (or lack of) that are in place over there. Do you really want gangs of teenagers running around with guns in your town/city?
Ummm. Just to point out an interesting fact. Criminals don't follow the laws. They get guns from illegal dealers and situations anyway. Most of the legal guns used in crimes are idiots who decided they needed to mug someone, or some fool got hold of a family members gun.
And actually in the states with the least gun control they have some of the LOWEST gun related crime statistics in the world. Also the lowest on home burglary. ^^

After a quick search on the internet, it is not hard to find evidence proving my point and dis-proving yours. Homocide rate for US per 100,000 is 2.97. That may not seem much but only 8 other countries on the list I found have higher than the US, an example of one of these 8 countries is Zimbabwe and I do believe there are massive wars and things going on there at the moment which would explain that. UK has 0.12, that is a huge difference from US.

That's the worst case scenario but if more firearms were available to shoot in controlled environments such as a range that hires out a selection of firearms to shoot on that range. I love shooting and something like that would be an absolute godsend
Most ranges have guns for rent. My local small range does. In San Jose when I lived there, there were three local indoor ranges that rented handguns for $50, plus ammo. It's quite popular, and ranges really like that because it's a gateway... You try it, like it, buy it!
Things i hate. politics we have 2 parties and niether really do what the people want usually because the other one is blocking them. next i hate our huge defecit, like how the fuck are we gonna pay off trillions of dollars? and hey look its war time. Something happened or we need gas or we dont wanna pay these people. Fucking quit it with the wars 10 years of no wars would be wonderful
