Probably Micheal Ignatieff, but more out of dislike for Harper than support for the liberals. I don't see the NDP or Green Party winning this election anyway, so to vote for either of them would be a waste. Since I want to see Harper lose so it's a matter of using my vote against him as well as I can. The best way would seem to be voting for the party with the 2nd most seats in Parliament.
*Edit* Even I have to eat my own words, I'm voting for Jack Layton.

But he's insulting your intelligence with childish attack ads. In interviews, he basically blames the other parties for being more interested in taking him down than helping the country (He fails to acknowledge that he's been held in contempt of parliament, or any other legitimate reasons for an election.) If there's even a glimmer of truth in this post (which there is more than just that) I can't see why you would want to vote for Harper. Also, the budget was balanced before Harper took office. He turned Paul Martins surplus into a huge deficit, yet you think he'll fix our economy? We're recovering, but not by nearly as much as we could be. Balance the budget by 2016? How about now?
Can you tell me real quick, what is the big deal about being in the commonwealth of countries? I dont see why it would matter unless theres something idk
Well, it's more of a symbol of status than anything these days, If I'm not mistaken, the commonwealth consists of the U.K. and many countries that were either occupied by Britain at one point, or colonized. India and Australia are other countries in it. Considering our history with the U.K., being kicked out would be embarrassing.
lol how much fuck ups can someone make?
Well in America our politicians have forgotten it was the people who elected them they are so busy looking after their self interest and ill scratch your back if you scratch mine mentality because the presidency is basically being bought and the people are the ones suffering because of that
Democracy, the freedom to choose your own dictator.
Nah its the idiots who turned America into a democracy we USED to be a republic
No we were once known as an Elected Representative Republic our government officials have been stating we are a "Democracy" for about the past 50+ years its become more like a mob rule that's basically what a democracy is the 51% overrule the 49% the majority rules and the 51% can pass basically whatever they want through because they hold the power you can just look all throughout history and when a government becomes a "democracy" its doomed to failure that's the road we are on sadly
"Elected Representative republic" = Democratic Republic. That's what Democratic means. Elected. Either way it doesn't matter. The Rich own your country no matter what you fell like calling it.Not to mention the people are too uninformed or stupid to do anything about it anyways. Best way to describe it would be corporate facism.

That is exactly it pick the lesser of two evils
Red agrees with ember and says you should because Red will vote for you you can probably do a better job than any of our "highly educated" politicians from the Poison ivy league
It’s true; Ember would do a kick ass job of being president. But, you have to be smart to be president :( So it's the military for Ember.
All they need to do is start writing their stupid little bills in plain English, you do not need 3,000 pages to say what needs to happen, just one is fine. For example, due to the constitution being awesome gays are allowed to marry the end. Done, next!

Nah the way our politicians basically care for and help themselves and their parties a monkey in a business suit could run for any branch and government and get the spot as long as they just help the party and kiss the right asses
And please the government will never write bills and laws in plain English how do you expect them to slip all the backdoor deals and loopholes through...they have to basically make it to where the general population has no idea what they are voting for they have entire panels devoted to basically confusing the general population then adding an easy "explanation" that still avoids the major points of the bill just so they can get more yes votes

You crazy Canadian's don't know what yer talkin' aboot
Dear god what type of inbred 3 toed retards are we electing into politics now a days dear god.
I live in the US, and I still don't like that guy. Hell, I don't like the guy we have running our country.
Technology advances from NASA? Shut it down. Too much spending.
Need cheaper healthcare? Instead force EVERYONE to pay for what they can't afford.
Government about to crash from not having a budget set? Let the Republicans figure it out.
Economy crashing into the ground? Give people money I don't have.
Debt at 16 trillion? Make more money.
God, I hate Obama. And I know someone is gonna say cause he's black, but no. I didn't like Bush, and he's a White Republican. I hate Obama because he's just a bad politician. Great speaker, but bad politician. "But he's just trying to fix what Bush messed up" one might whine. Well, how does shutting down NASA have anything to do with that? And big brother healthcare?

I agree with you on all counts good sir
The last part though what we just did is go from one extreme idiot to another extreme idiot except this one is just throwing money around or "distributing the wealth" as they would call it
Obama really isn't that great of a speaker the only reason he is good is because he has someone writing his speeches for him perfect example is the two times his teleprompter has malfunctioned he was as dumb as a post because he didn't have his script running in front of him

I understand that he isn't writing his speeches. In no way did I mean he was an intelligent man. I meant he is very charismatic in his speech, thus he is a "good speaker", not a good writer.
Otherwise, he's just another politician with no sense of "the greater good".

Do you know any politicians with a sense of the greater good XD its all about who they buy their votes from from the money they steal from the working class
That about sums up any politician now a days...
You know what the really messed up thing is? The Majority doesn't even support Harper. This is because in Canada, there are 3 Major Political parties (The Conservatives, The Liberals, The New Democrats. I'm not counting the Green Party because they have no seats in Parliament.) We have what you would call a conservative minority government (Conservatives have to most seats in parliament, but combined the liberals and New democrats have more.) If you consider that only about 70% voted last election, and combined Harper has less seats than the others, we can deduce that barely 35% of our country wants Harper to be PM. Only in Canada can you be democratically elected with that little support. (Though one could argue that the others each have less. I'm inclined to think that they should rethink policies if they're all losing to "none of the above")
At the risk of turning this into a tl;dr comment, I should also mention that in the case of a minority gov't, you have to keep the other parties happy, otherwise what's going on right now happens. Harper refused to show parts of his budget, and is the first PM to be held in contempt of Parliament. The other parties are coming together, and using this as an excuse to try and bring him down. (They've done this before, and for good reason.) Hence why we're having an election right now.

Yea its almost the same with us except we have only two parties the republicans and the democrats...so in a way were more screwed because its always a 50/50 deal and if one side has one more percent than the other party that party basically has the power to do pretty much anything despite what the voters say most politicians now a days really don't even listen to the voters anymore because the only thing they care about is keeping the party happy and lining their pockets and you don't need to worry about the tl;dr comments i enjoy reading so have at it
