I love stuff like this. Ahhh the great decay of our language is torn down by the mindless people on social networks, the constant use of slang words & people who add an "s" or "er" to a word thinking that, that is correct.
I have heard so many people say "mans" & "downer" & they get mad when you correct them. I find myself talking to people in my grade & most of the time I need to rephrase sentences or use lower level vocabulary so they can understand what I'm trying to say. Yet I'm the one in an experimental class (ELS) for students that can't speak English well, or aren't at the level they should be in at their grade. Yet when we read in my English class everyone stutters & mumbles the word they can't seem to pronounce. When I ask a question about someone's argument they seem to have no answer because they don't UNDERSTAND their own argument or the words that come out their mouths.

Sorry about my venting but sometimes you just need to let it out.

    Well said, sir.

It's the same thing everywhere... even in college, everyone speaks with a slang dialect because it makes them sound more cool I suppose. I think it makes them sound like idiots...

I speak like a fool only when I'm with friends & we are just fucking around, but we do get into arguments & take them seriously with out the slurs & slang. There are some people that just speak like that at all times I'm not sure if they are that ignorant or they just think it's cool.
I think everything has it's time & place.
