Simpsons Vs. Family Guy
I will probably get down rated for this but I really to get the word out. FAMILY GUY PLAGIARIZES THE SIMPSONS! Let the flaming begin! But just let me give my reasons.
First off: The families are very alike. There's a socially awkward drunk of a dad. A really awesome baby. Two kids who fight a lot. And an overbearing and over caring wife/mother.
Secondly: A lot of the episodes are similar. There's an episode of the Simpsons where homer gets a beard and birds live in it that came out in the 90's. Then there's episode of Family Guy that came out a lot later where Peter gets the same thing!
Tell me what you think. Don't care if I get flamed for this. Just give me your opinion.

I don't remember hearing about any lawsuits against The Family Guy people so as far as I'm concerned, they didn't copy it. Are they close, yes, but I think Family Guy is funnier. I love both shows and this clip is hilarious BTW. +3 for topic
Although I do like Family Guy more, I think Matt Groening is more known than Seth McFarlene

yeah i think there starting to copy i was watchin 1 from the new series and its getting just like family guy not thats thats a bad thing and the simpsons have done more or less everything so its hard not to writ a script that hasnt ben shown by another program before but i like em both but family guy can make alot of jokes that the simpsons cant so family guy is a wins it for me +3
in my opinion i think family guy has stolen a lot of things. But I also think they do it funnier.
Family guy sometimes does that on purpose... like that beard thing was a mawk to the simpsons, but i acually do think that the overall concept of the families was stolen, the baby, bro/sis, dad(dumb), mother... even tho they throw brian and a couple few other/different characters in there... family guy is more funny tho, but simpsons still makes me LOL, i think its fine the way it is...

It has to be the simpsons there they ones that made adult like cartoons
IMHO, I like The Simpsons and Futurama more than I like Family Guy and American Dad. Maybe it's the presentation of the jokes, I don't know. But, it seems to me that Matt Groening (sp?) knows what he's doing.
Let's end it right with two facts 1: the simpsons is the longest running cartoon series in history to this date, but family guy has had more or so a greater span of audiences over the past decade, so even though the Simpsons is good, both in my opinion are just as great as the other. So what do you have to say in regard to that.
There is also a black guy in the Simpsons omg there is one in family guy to! Wait a minute don't the Simpsons have a car? Holly SHITE so does family guy! Wow this is amazing we must let the world know! OOOOOR you can pull your head out of your ass agree that there is more than one family that has a drunk of a dad a nice mom two kids that fight and a baby, did you know that Family guy also has a dog? oh and it talks I bet they stole that from the Simpsons to, oh wait the Simpsons dog can't talk and I'm pretty sure it's dead so yeah. Oh and last time I checked The Simpsons are Yellow, Family guy yeah there regular color. I'm just messing with you I like your posts I just felt like rambling on I guess :P +3
haha what gets me is all seth mcfarlane makes all his shows basically the same, wherease futurama and the simpsons have completely different casts.
both the shows are too funny but I like family guy series much more entertaining. The another fox show king of the hill is also much more entertaining. Family guy series is full of fun and all the stars are very entertaining with their roles.
