Sharenator suggestion please consider

I think Sharenator should create another catagory of music and have on a side bar or something so you could listen to music while your on Sharenator. This would be especially convient at school because some schools are blocking youtube. Everyone tell me what you think of the idea

Even though we don't respond to every thread, we actually consider every feature suggested on Sharenator. My bookmark folder is full of feature requests. There's a lot of work ahead of us, so we want to implement the most important features first.

At this moment we're focusing on upgrading our network to make sure Sharenator runs smoothly and has some room to grow. We're about to order several new servers and it will take some time to set up a load balancer. Sharenator is growing pretty fast and our current server can't handle all the traffic anymore.

Once we solve this issue, we'll have some free time to work on new features.

Regarding new categories on Sharenator - we will eventually roll out a system which allows to create unlimited amount of categories on Sharenator. Each member could subscribe to his favorite categories or create his own brand-new category. However, this is not something we're planning on implementing very soon, but once we're ready to roll it out, it will be possibly the most important Sharenator update ever. Simply put, we don't want to rush it.

Every suggestion can help make Sharenator better, so keep them coming.

Sorry for grammar/spelling, I'm just a bit sleep deprived :)

Sounds like a bit much for Team Sharenator to program and add... Plus its a copyright issue...

you can already upload the music files... just like a pic or video, but as long as Paul and Darius can prevent people from downloading the music free from the site, then it should be alright. As far as I know, there is nothing illegal about people sharing their music.

Im pretty sure Limewire allows you to download music for free so I don't think it's illegal ....And I was mean more on the lines of just a huge list of songs on a big playlist that you could search for a song and play it, without actually downloading it.

I think its a great idea. I'd love to share my music with the rest of Sharenator. There would have to be a system that says who's song it is though. Kind of like who posted what. Like say, if you posted some song, and I posted another, it would have to say that bradculpep posted this song and Kradon666 posted this song, so that way we know who likes what...
The only downside is that someone would put Jonas Brothers up here as some stupid joke.

what format are you uploading, because if i try to upload an mp3, it never finishes

I don't know why... all my music is mp3 format. All I did was upload just like a picture. Just click browse, then instead of a pic, go to your music folder and select a song. Once its done, just click add to post and it should add the song. Here's an example.

Song is called Mr. Scary by Dokken btw. :)

here is another suggestion. probably heard it b4, but id say have a deal where you can flag a user if they use offensive or derogatory words or remarks towards another user. i say if someone just makes an account to get on here and say stupid crap like dtsc977 did and not contribute anything, even so much as commenting on a post ABOUT the post, they should be banned, or just banned from making comments. something to that effect. (not tryin to make nobody mad or nothing, just a suggestion)
