I don't see how that would cause an argument. You'd be hard pressed to find a recent phone model that hasn't had at least one case of exploding (including iPhones). Phones "exploding" or catching fire is nothing new, and most cases are thought to be caused by cheap knockoff chargers/batteries.

But you can't replace the batteries in iPhones ^^

But I do agree. Cheap batteries and chargers should be avoided at all costs.

Well, actually... you can replace them. Apple just doesn't make it as easy as other phones :P

    *not user serviceable battery

Yeah, I know. But in all honesty, there isn't really a need to. I've had an iPhone 4 for 3 years now… I got it practically when it was released (it still had a 3-4 week waiting time for delivery), and the battery still holds as much as I'd expect it to. I would probably get more if I downgraded to iOS 4 again, but that would be pointless. Half the apps wouldn't work and I'd lose some cool features.

My landlord has a Galaxy SII and has already had a second battery and it's still shit. He reckons the phone is fucked. But to be fair, and leaving all fanboyism aside, Android battery life isn't exactly great.
