Re-Write of Huchleberry Finn
I find it surprising that a movement is now in place where the 'N' word is being replaced in a clasic Mark Twain (AKA Samuel Clemens) novel Huckleberry Finn. I find this an insult really to the entire memory and culture of the book. It's as if American society is going PC (political correctness) crazy the 'N' word is a word of reminder to African Americans as to what they have come from and how far society has gotten. I personally don't know what the word would mean to someone of African decent because obviously I am not such. Please give me your thoughts on the matter.

(Ill apologize in advance i may defer to another topic but it is highly connected to the subject at hand) Oh i most defiantly agree with you, But coming from the south were apparently we are all just a bunch of racist idiots I get to hear ALL about this lovely subject i mean it comes from both sides of the board the whites and the blacks who refuse to learn their history and the truth behind the whole slavery deal The whites who act as if they are superior should be shot in my book The KKK and Aryan brotherhood to be exact and then we have the blacks they pop off the word nigger like its candy even though its an "offensive term" and then when ever we ask them why they do it they say its a part of their history they wish to forget
That is so silly, removing that word doesn't make that whole part of our history disappear. What's next, "Roots" with voice-over?
Ive been sitting here awhile trying to contemplate my response to this one i mean first on im not surprised America has been becoming overly PC for the longest time this is just one of the many things they are trying to get rid of thanks to the numerous idiotic movements inside America to basically dumb us down Here is a list of some of the words now deemed politically incorrect by our illustrious (cough) government
Broken Home – Replaced by Dysfunctional family.
Crazy – Replaced by the term Mental Illness. And, since it is an illness, it may be treated in the same manner as other diseases – with drugs.
Criminal – Replaced by behaviorally challenged.
Failure – Replaced by Deferred Success. (make a moti out of that please)
Fairy – Homophobic. Replaced by Petite airborne humanoid which possesses magical powers. Where do the Fucking come up with this Shit
Founding Fathers – Too Sexist. Instead, use the term The Founders.
Ghetto – Replaced by Economically disadvantaged area. This term is used by politicians who believe money from the Government would solve their problems.
Girlfriend/Wife – Replaced by Unpaid sex worker (Isn’t this more insulting to women?)
Housewife – Replaced by Domestic Engineer. This is to remove the necessity of marriage from the task of raising children.
Illegal Aliens – Replaced by Undocumented Immigrants. Undocumented Immigrants suggests that they are good old-fashioned immigrants that simply have not gone through the hassle of being ‘documented’ yet.
Jungle – Replaced by Rainforest.
Lumberjack – Replaced by Murderer. (I shit you not)
Natural Disaster – replaced by Unnatural Event caused by man’s destruction of the environment. Every hurricane, mudslide, and flood should be blamed on Global Warming, even though these events have been occurring for millions of years. (I’m still waiting for somebody to blame the last Ice Age on the campfires of cavemen)
Nigger – Has evolved to mean “A Trashy or devious Negro”, but the word has still lost acceptance. (see : White Trash)
Ugly – Replaced by Visually Challenging.
White Trash – Losers of European descent. Term still in acceptance, although its counterpart term to describe trash of the negro race is being eliminated.

Fuck it period. My class is reading the uncensored version. We actually started last week. Mark Twain wasn't a fucking racist. He wanted to show people the truth. The truth is that some things are fucking hurtful. If you start censoring books whats next? History? Are they going to just take terrorism and nazism and communism and fucking slavery right out of the textbooks because it's "offensive"? Man up. As an African American i'd be offended if they did censor it. SLavery's over. THe only people not willing to let it go is bigots and religious people.
