I've been a redditor for 2 years now... this pic is true. Some things have merit, like when a redditor draws a pics and someone introduces that to digg and claims it as their own (yeah, it's happened with "anatomy of a homeboy")... but it's like "First!!1!" bragging rights among social sites for reddit members on a lot of trivial things.
The thing about 4chan is true, reddit does recycle 4chan's memes and stuff.
It's funny how often I see things on 4chan and then see them on reddit a day or two later.
The kids who make these comments are an obvious minority among reddit's user base. Who honestly checks other sites to see what news was on your preferred site a few hours/days ago?
I do. I used to go to Digg every day. Now I go to reddit instead because I can see all the good stuff from Digg 24 hours earlier.
I only talk shit about Digg because I (used to) love it so much and it's a shame seeing it become incompetent at the social media idea it invented. But it's not a big deal. I'm sure they'll get along fine without me.
