my prom was a very formal event and i came in a suit costing about 750 dollars (500 dollars of which came from my tie tack) my dates dress was around 475 dollars, the day date was around 1200, so all told it was about $2325 give or take at the time i was making about 600 to 800 a paycheck working for a computer repair and computer construction business i specialized in gaming computers and general system clearings.
This is exactly why I didn't go to my prom. Besides the cost of the suit (which I figured I'd seldom wear after the prom) Tickets were over 100 dollars because rather than hold it at the school, we just had to have the venue downtown at the world trade center, a half hour's drive away from where I lived and I lacked a license. All of that plus not having a date. Just wasn't worth the money and time to me, after all, it's nothing more than a glorified school dance.
lol yeah the whole date thing is a bit of b problem our tickets were 75 and our venue was one of the riverside hotels but ours wasn't a glorified school dance because of the lack of supervision and the fact that 90% of the guys were the big partiers and had really good quality fake IDs so the hotel's bar was open to us
HA HA!! I can't stop laughing. Really, what were these people thinking? Almost all of them have taken originality to a whole new, shiny level... How LONG does it take to make a set of fancy duct tape outfits????
