well maybe in america nobody cares but
did america ever cared about something that didnt happen within their borders? I mean is there something about any election?
its proof enough that america started getting in WWII after they were attacked
3 years later
yeah I know they kinda helped the UK with resources but hey thats not really doing something

in some countries people care if some maniac is elected in another country :P

destroyer base deal? i would say 21 destroyers is a lot of help bro. Plus the reason the US didn't join WWII was because their current policy was isolationism. Plus at the time a second war in Europe would have lost the presidential election for either candidate.

yeah I know but they did this for a long time and after WWII they started to be world police because they wanted to get communism as far away from the US as possible
but still I dont see alot in the american news about other countries
only things that have to do with america
I wonder if fox news even tell anything about greece having no money

Well i wouldn't use fox news a good source for news... but i understand your point. But perhaps that is because at the moment America has a good deal of it's own problems, and thee election in Canada aren't exactly high on the list.

every country has some kind of problem somewhere
but sometimes the news just foul you
at a time there were a lot of news about stolen cars and robberies and such
but in fact at that time the crime rate was like 5% down or something
so sometimes its just hype
I have noticed that good news like less people unemployed are sometimes in the times or something but I didnt here anything in other news especially not TV because their time is really limited
usually

Fools*, Hear*

And yes the new exaggerates everything. It's in its nature.
but back to the original argument, yes america cares deeply in what happens outside of it's boarders. If they didn't then there would be no South Korea, Taiwan or war in the middle east if america didn't stick it's nose in everything. Which isn't always a bad thing.

actually the most just cares what comes across the border
well probably there would be south korea because when the US helped the south the russians wanted to help the north
if north and south korea would just had a war by themselves then anything could've happen
and yeah there would be war in the middle east because there is always war
they want to kill the jews and there are two groups of muslims that want to kil each other and so on

it wasnt a bad thing in the beginning when they started to join WWII
and fortunate there were some good presidents running everything because otherwise there would've been a third world war or no germany because france wanted to have everything
but there were also REALLY unnessecary things like dropping a atom bomb on a little town
and another

i can agree with the North and South Korea argument, but as far as the middle east, i believe you didn't understand when i said "war in the middle east" i meant the current war the united states was fighting.

But as far as dropping a bomb, do you understand the amount of death that would have come with a full scale invasion of Japan? 100,000 Japanese were killed in Okinawa alone. With an invasion on the entire would have meant death tolls of the Japanese in the millions excluding the american lost live. Plus the dropping of the first bomb kept the Russian at bay in Manchuria. Then the Japanese basically asked us to drop the second one by responding to our ultimatum with "Death is part of fighting a war"(paraphrased)

actually Fox news has mentioned Greece quite a bit, my grandma watches bill, granted it's usually as a platform to attack Obamacare but wtv, also quit bitching whenever there is a god damn war that the UN gets involved in they come running to the US to supply most of the muscle then when everyone else leaves we get left with the bill and people complain why we are still there Libya is gonna be wonderful

It's called bliss and ignorance. Those of simple mind are a large majority of every country. As such, our simple minded minions.... I mean citizens.... prefer to involve themselves in issues of national repose as opposed to other countries who are far more focused on other people rather than their selves.

On a more political basis, it seem we are far more concerned with others rather than ourselves. We do play world police, because we have a very powerful force to do so with.

get off your high horse. yes big surprise, people care more about them selfs and their local community than other places and people. get over it. that does not mean that they don't care at all, only that that the priority is them self.

1. I can't help it if I need a tall horse, as I am 6'7" tall.

2. You lost me there. Not once did I make any comment stating that I am any better than another person. I merely remarked upon a common trend upon which a vast majority of people in the USA prefer to concern themselves with more local issues. I'm not judging anyone for their preferences... at the time.

3. I refer to them as minions only because everyone shall be my minions once I seize control of this lowly planet.

As such, bad troll, 0/10. I'm not even mad.

No, I'm American, yes I am very tall, and he's kinda right. Not from my view point, but the world seems to be giving the Canadian election the "back seat" sort of speak. With the Royal wedding and the "death of Osama", Canada is getting ignored. Hopefully this will all calm down in time for the election. I'm curious to see who takes the minister-ship, if that's how you say it?

erm no idk what you mean. I'm going to guess you meant prime minister? and the voting is done, The conservatives won. Anyways i don't really care to much about the royal wedding... and besides with the death of Osama, what Obama couldn't have given a shout out to the allies that are helping with the war too? i mean we've lost our fair share of troops too....
Posted: 2011-05-04 03:29:33 Report Reply
I was using minister-ship as a funny derivative of Prime Minister. And I was unaware the voting finished, I have been extremely busy.

Also, Canadian troops are useless..... HAHAHA, I joke of course. I agree that Obama shouldn't take all the credit. It was an ongoing and collaborative effort and just because he said they were allowed to do it, he gets the credit. No planning on his part, no effort, no anything.

I like Canada. I've been a few times. Not an expert, but I can say I've been.

I dont know if anyone knows the sun which is kinda the most sold newspaper in the UK and as far as I know every country has some shit like that. Usually with alot of pictures and often made up stories because they want to be the first ones to have but didnt really research it and stuff.
Anyways I was sooooo angry about something like the sun it is called "picture" here kinda lol
they had 14 pages about the royal wedding
4 pages about the death of osama with his life and shit
and that was all nothing else where in there in other newspapers they were saying something about another problem with the reactor in japan and that prices are going to be really high here and so on
WTF?

Here's some advice, FRF, johnecash is one of those people that has something to say about everything. He will argue with you forever over one thing. I for one, have lost faith in the US. Plus he claims that he's like thirty or forty something years old (he's hinted at it in one of our arguments). He thinks he's better than everybody else and rarely do I agree with what he has to say.

You are a very interesting individual. I imply you are mad based upon the fact that you consistently retaliate to my remarks and statements with a localized feeling of anger, all of which seem to be aimed at otherwise harmless and bipartisan comments.

Other than my original comment upon which I relied to a separate person's question and opinion with my own, my replies to you have been no more than a question and a couple sarcastic rebuttals to your oddly tempered words, sir.

Now if you will excuse me, I have tea and cake to tend to. Tata.

Yes people in America care about people in other countries. We have hundreds of thousands of charity's that help other poorer countries. We send tons of food to other countries. Yes some times we don't pay attention because there are more important things going on. (I'm not saying the election wasn't important) We just get sidetracked by other things. The world is a big place. lots of things going on to keep track of. For what you said about American elections, The only reason pay attention is because of our population size and our military. If we had neither of those people wouldn't say a peep. But since we play world police a lot of the time people want to know if we are gonna keep doing so or change our role in foreign affairs.

yes true a wedding of your former king is more important than what happend next to you yay
population size? seriously in my city are living as many people as in freaking north dakota or something its just a big "country"
well you have to keep doing so because you are part of the UN and they are actually world police
also you cant just say hey guys we wont be part of the UN anymore because the US is one of the countries that have to decide if some country has to be attacked

You seem ignorant (putting it nicely) When it comes to your views. What does caring for other countries mean then? Most people here in the U.S. got sick and tired of the wedding. I personally could give a shit about who's getting married a world over when there not even in power. We watch whats going on but you wont see it on the main news sites. so how can you say people dont care? Do you have any proof? I honestly didn't watch or even hear about the canadian election. I do however pay attention most of the time to others elections to see how it will affect the planet. I'm just gonna give up on the popualtion thing dont really know where i was going there. The world police thing. Yes We could just stop being part of the UN. We could stop sending as much support as we do. What would that do? IT would weaken the UN. The U.S. does not have to be part of it. The UN cant make us be part of it. It is a choice. But please tell me that everyone in Canada cares about the U.S. elections... You cant the only reason you pay attention to it is because of the news stations. Now tell me what means people care about other countries....

For everyone one who is complaining about how the US only reports on news that really only happens in the US everyone does that, to quote a Rise Against line "We're all okay until the day we're not" It's really hard for someone in Montana to care about something happening in fucking Uzbekistan on the other side of the world, people are gonna talk about stuff that actually is gonna affect them, how many people here know about Lawerence MA or Springfield MA two of the poorest cities in America? or about any tiny ass poor town in the midwest probably almost no one because they arn't close enough to affect them. No one has any sort of high ground it's human nature to look the other way if it doesnt affect you scientist have proven it
