Pokemon
Well, I've been on Sharenator long enough to notice that I seem to be missing out on something really great called Pokemon. Any suggestions on what games to get to get into the genre? I have a Nintendo DS Lite, so Gameboy Advance is fine too.

Actually the remakes of red & blue are fire red & leaf green I think?

=o youre super l8 but i suggest you get all of them because they all are epic but you will need osme money because all of them will be over $200+ combined
I'd pick up fire red/leaf green for sure. Personally, I'd skip Ruby/Sapphire but that's just me. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are good, but the Pokemon just keep getting more and more awkward.
Heart Gold/ Soul Silver are excellent, but chances are they're the most fun if you have the nostalgia of playing the original Gold/Silver/Crystal so it's hard to recommend them to new players. I'd pick up as many of the old gameboy colour games as I could if I were you.

Didn't really think of it that way...I'm just looking at everything since I just joined.
Well since you're first starting off, I would suggest to start with fire red which is the first generation it's a remake of it. After that you should buy heart gold or soul silver which are the remakes of the 2nd generation witch imo is better than the first. From there on you can get the rest if you wish. good luck ^^
of course youll have to get fire red and leaf green, its the beginning of it all. then, get the BEST pokemon games, gold and silver (in your case, heartgold and soulsilver)
Well, first off, buy a GameBoy Color off eBay. Then Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold and Crystal. Then play Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen. Then play Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver and HearGold. While waiting for Black and White to come out, stock up on food and water around your computer sir, because you are heading to animefreak.tv and watching every season of of the Pokemon anime. Before that though, head to your local grocery store and just empty the boxes of trading cards until you have enough to fit in several large books and shoeboxes. Then I believe you've caught up with Sharenator. Oh, I think there's a manga too.
oh and when you start get a fire type pokemon because every1 knows fire types own all other kinds
