New Sharenator Minecraft Beta Server up and running!
Update: 4/30/2011 (Later)
So back again, this time it's Dawn to the rescue.
As Faceless mentioned the Server is a Tier 2, which means it should be more then capable of the small and well-knit community we seem to have on it at the moment. However due to complications with the actual server box itself we've been relocated. The understanding is that, now on a different location, we should experience less lag and downtime. The system to join is exactly the same as before except for the new server address. Everything is exactly as-was when it crashed earlier, so no work or progress should have been lost by anyone. If it was, please let us know.
The new address is:
sc33.servercraft.co:9357

The Server is back online. It was set up as a Tier2 which means it was supposed to get it's own name, however patience being something Dawn lacks it was used prematurely. As such rather then being something like Sharenator.Servercraft.co, it's the random numbers and letters again. After discussion on the idea of an easier name Dawn and myself have reached the conclusion it'd be safer to keep it as random as possible to help avoid griefers.

Faceless and us have gone ahead and set up a server which, we've agreed, will for the time being be used for Sharenator.
The rules of the server are very simple:
No being an ass/troll
Do not delete/destroy/modify the area used by others.
Dawn/Kitsune's word is law.
Don't advertise for other servers on this one.
More rules may/will be added as the server expands.
Connecting is incredibly simple! And easy!
Simply hit Multiplayer on the Minecraft program and in the address enter in the following;
sc33.servercraft.co:9357
We look forward to seeing you all there.

the server is good my house is gonna be ftw...makin a mining shaft atm but its kinda laggy for me also my next door..well through about 6-7 layers of stone neighbor is darkhour =) ftw neighborhood

I think there is a way to downgrade... but meh, thats work isn't it? I can honestly say the server is gonna be quiet for a while anyway... But we're working to get it updated asap. And if I may leave a comment: expect some interesting changes on the server after we finish updating (this includes waiting for the plugins and stuff and completing a little project I'm working on.)
Whenever the developers of the plugins we (sorta) rely on decide to make/release the updated versions of them, then its up to us (which seeing as how servercraft's ease of use isn't the greatest, I mean it's up to servercraft) to install our plugins, then we get to tune them to our liking and... I'm ranting.

I say a week, give or take. We're all pretty busy atm though, so it could be longer.

We just went on it to peek around, and to be honest we don't like it. We had a small amount of lag (Manageable but Noticeable) and we just didn't like the look of it.
However if you like flat deserts, we'd recommend it we suppose since the server we are running has lots of grassy/forest hills and water right at the start.

You banned him? I know why, but it looks as if he meant no harm by it, just offering an alternative (due to yours being down at the time.) Hell, you hadn't even stated that rule yet (had you?) He wasn't greifing or anything and was actually contributing help and such to others. It's not my battle nor my choice, so I won't argue it past this but still, I feel that was a bit unjustified.

I'd help, but this specific server is down right now and we aren't sure why. There are tutorial videos on the main site and all over youtube, and it's not hard to learn, just got to remember what makes what. And also, compared to console games, its cheap, 20 bucks.

Ah it's because i posted another servers IP. I wasn't trying to do harm. I just saw that the server was down so I gave people another place to play if that happens. Sorry.
I think I am leavong the server the persons with the most diamonds will get my houses and stuff, so just tell me how much you got(you dont pay or anything) and i will give you my stuff, not just the person with most diamonds will get stuff so you can still say how much you have :)

<Faceless> I'm not sure what the hell happened, but I got a nasty Trojan Horse virus just now while re-connecting to the server. It may have been from my email instead as I was checking that, but this is a fair warning to it. I'd reccomend now waiting until I can gurantee the Server is safe to connect to.

Its on my list but its something I wanted one of our other admins to help me with due to the nature of fixing it. But hes been busy and so ive waited, but Im at the point, that after we get settled (and i mean have all our mods and stuff back) ill try to fix it, may even do a temp fix, because I concur, its annoying.
I don't think people are banned, its just they have only just got the 1.8 server running so they are keeping public off until its ready
Last I checked it was open, and I would assume it is still so (not in the best of shapes right now but 1.8 hit it hard and there are too many distractions to fix it, like the battlefield beta which I can say 2-3 of our admins are playing religiously, I included.)
i was also on a couple of days before the 1.8 update then havent tried to go on since i posted this. but it would be nice if i could of been let on before someone complains because dark on there with you before and i would never greifed because i would of hated it if my stuff got greifed

We actually no longer deal with who is a mod and who isn't, we simply fund the server and reap the benefits.
On that subject...
Even if you don't get a mod position, if you want to be a cut above the rest, you could always donate to the server.

This problem actually comes from Mojang. the 1.0.0 Server file is flawed and everyone has this problem. We can't even get on unless we actually restart the server. Every time.
That said, the server is currently in anarchy-mode as we wait for Minecon to end and the lazy !@#$%!@ who make Bukkit to actually update for the new version of Minecraft.

Somebody destroyed our home on the server, so yes, the server is down. Until we can get back to our old seed before anarchy-day. Lasain is working on getting it back and up as we type this, at the latest we hope to have it online and working by the first of December.

Yeah, I have been playing on shadowraze lately. THey updated to the dev version and it is really laggy.
If the recommended version is called the recommended build, then 1.0.1 is out.
There sever is down again by the way dawn! :)
