The towny thing is the same thing dawn is about to put in place. basically if you get enough money you can purchase a town or you can join someone elses town. There are taxes and all that. You use the iconomy money to purchase the town and extra land. The more people you have the more land you can claim. You can set priveleges in towns to citizens only which let only people of that town build or do anything there. Allies which if your a twon and your friend has a town you can become allies and they can build on your land. Or deny all which only the mayor or lord or king depending on how many citizens there are. Then two towns can also go to war and each town has so many hp. you win the war by destroyin the other towns home block which is where they started the town or by making them take so much hp. note there has yet to be a war on my server... But that is the basics i guess. oh only the mayor can decide who builds on your lands. Then you can also buy certain lots from the town for you own house that you can set restrictions on like only yourself can build or destroy there. But yeah its a pretty awesome plugin.
