Im not throwing a sissy fit over porn and down raters, this time,its worth your 2 minutes. I have been skimming through a few pages, and i have noticed some HORRIBLE posts. Not like crappy posts, but posts that will make you cry... Someone posted 3 guys one hammer, a video where 3 teens beat a man to death with a hammer and gouge at him with a screwdriver... its all real. I found one on the "hot" posts in videos. A moron posted the WORST video i have ever seen. Worst part is that he spoke in half Spanish and is to un-intelligent to spell correctly, so misleadingly, i watched it. What i saw was 6-7 guys cut a mans head off... alive. It still bugs me!!!! Something should be done about these things, although i bet Paul and Darius are trying to do something, theres gotta be a different method. I click report on all these, but that doesn't stop 20-30+ people from seeing them, i would rather see porn on here than poor, innocent people being tortured and mutilated... seriously

I haven't gotten reports on these videos so maybe other mods have dismissed or dealt with them. Again, if you keep seeing posts that shouldn't be here, EVERYONE should report them. Its the only way we know.

I know I'm going to get downrated for this, but I think instead of removing this content, it should be better warned. As long as people are thoroughly warned, then they should have no reason to complain if they're dumb enough to watch it. So, while I do agree that this could have been avoided by simply speaking English, it shouldn't all be removed do to disturbing content.
As soon as this website gets tagged with adult content by a single Content Filter, they will all upload the new list and many people will be able to access this site from work or school.

yeah... this stuff is getting taken care of. There are now multiple moderators on the site. When you click the report button, all mods are notified and if they think it breaks the Terms of Service, well, mods have a Delete button on EVERY comment and post.
you have to be invited. i dont know of any criteria, but if you are wanted, you would be asked. if you could just become a mod then all the trolls would just delete every post

Not necessarily rank, but how long you have been around and how you contribute, how you act on the site ie: not trolling or bashing other members, posting spam, ect.

There is no point in trying, because all you will do is make yourself depressed as you arent. it probably is based on how you respect the site, how you contribute and how you treat others. All the mods have their opinions, and are not scared to post them opinions, but arent offensive by doing so. dont expect to just become one because you posted like 250 posts because like bacon said, its about the thought too. ^^

Maybe it's because I'm one of the "older" people on this site, but I still believe there is such a thing as a loss of innocence. You may think through video games/modern media and such that younger members get desensitized to violence, sex, and rough language.
But I believe in their ability to make the distinction between what is real and what is fake.
So when someone links real posts about graphic violent death, it can rob someone of a part of their innocence. It's something that will stick with them, and alter their view. It may not, but then again, you never know.
We have younger members on this site, 12 years old and maybe younger. Imagine you have a little brother or sister. Would you want them to be exposed to the image of a young man having his head cut off or a man being beat to death with hammers? I think not.
It also says something to your character and the level of respect you have for life if you post these things. Picture the man getting his throat slit is your brother, and you have to see that shit posted on a site. Imagine the man getting beat to death is your uncle. Outraged. Furious. That's how you would feel. It doesn't make you "cool" or a "hardass". It makes you a monster. It makes you a sick individual; to spread that kind of hate.
There is no room for that kind of negativity on this site.

I have also seen a beheading (sorry if spelled wrong) and I don't think that it belongs on Sharenator as well - it takes a LOT to disturb me and seeing an American soldier have his head taken while he is still alive - struggling against it to no avail is really fucked up.
that's pretty crazy that you remember it so well - I remember all the terrorist behind him chanting " Allah hu akbar " and the sound of head being severed... it stuck with me too. About 5 years ago but I remember how gruesome it was.

Our mod system is very new. It's not perfect yet. We may not notice every inappropriate post or comment. However, as long as you report posts that shouldn't be here, they will be deleted reasonably quickly.
Meanwhile, we will be working on improving the system, so it would be easier for moderators to deal with reports.
