Does it have to be on your land or can you shoot them wherever?
    - poopiteepoop October 21, 2013, 4:47 pm
I have a few "permissions" where I help to control the vermin. One is a Llama farm, thats pretty odd cows follow you real close, sheep don't care but llamas stalk you.

i've got a couple airguns too, they use superheated expanding air though and range from about 750fps up to about 3200fps. i've got pictures of them too if you're interested :)

It would be illegal for me to take these rifles over 12ftlb so in .22 that would be around 610fps with a 14.5grain pellet or 800fps with an 8.4 grain pellet in .177
I could go over these but I'd need to apply for a Firearms Certificate and be limited as to where I used them.
Sure I'd be interested in seeing what you have.

you preparing for a zombie apocalypse or something?
    - poopiteepoop November 10, 2013, 10:27 am
more of a people apocalypse, y'know, when the population goes rabid because of a conspiracy where people under obamacare are vaccinated against a gov't created microbe and everyone else is not and they release it on their own citizens to cause widespread panic and kill off everyone who isn't a supporter... or something like that anyways
    - MIKYTEY November 10, 2013, 3:55 pm
@That Mosin Nagant tho, they are good rifles lol

I got my first .410 for my 14th birthday it had a 28" O/U barrel and folded up double to fit in my pocket (although I had to wear a scarf to hide the top of the barrel when walking to the shooting grounds.
    - Math November 11, 2013, 8:12 am

    - MIKYTEY November 11, 2013, 11:44 pm
i should have waited 2 months to get my taurus judge... the raging bull magnum went down to the same price... i wanted the .454 casull more than the 45LC...

Nooooo that's why I switched from COD on 360 to PS3. Less kids doing it on PS3.

As I've only just written above. In the UK you only have to achieve the age of 18 to be able to purchase or use these.
I do have a shotguns that I need a permit for.
    - Math October 20, 2013, 8:41 am
How powerful are these guns, can you shoot something bigger with it ?
    - Darius October 20, 2013, 8:56 am
    No I wouldn't shoot anything bigger than a rabbit. They're only 12ftlbs - 16.25joules.
    - Math October 20, 2013, 3:24 pm
well, you could shoot something bigger like a bear... but after that, you're on your own
    - MIKYTEY October 20, 2013, 8:44 pm
Yeah... a bear might want to have a talk about that over a meal.
    - triclebickle October 21, 2013, 7:11 am
Largest wild animals around here are Red Deer and Roe Deer but they're not for shooting. The largest predator in the UK is a Badger followed by Fox. Badgers can't be shot but foxes are fair game but I wouldn't take one with an airgun.
It's a long time since bears and wolves walked these shores but there is a nutter up in Scotland that wants to bring them back, after all he's been quite successful with the reintroduction of beavers
    - Math October 21, 2013, 1:05 pm
They're culling badgers throughout the country but you cant shoot them?
    - poopiteepoop October 21, 2013, 4:49 pm
No you have to be licenced and it's not open to any Joe Bloggs. Plus it would be irresponsible to shoot at a badger with an airgun.
    - Math October 21, 2013, 6:45 pm
what about an air cannon, are those illegal? cause that'd be awesome
    - MIKYTEY October 21, 2013, 8:52 pm
Potato cannon a badger!... Awwww yeeeeeeah

    - 24paperwings November 13, 2013, 9:41 am
